Imagine Just Being In Your Own Distopian World, With No People, Youre Walking Through The Supermarket

Imagine just being in your own distopian world, with no people, youre walking through the supermarket to hoard any food still left.

You think about what it would be you would take with you from the supermarket, while nature outside reclaims back the land.

The animals of the zoo now free, a lion meeting your eyes on the other side of the street, because he no longer remembers what humans looked like.

You both go your own way. You saddle your bike and manouver it around the remains of cars and all the cracks in the street.

The golden rays of the sun warm your skin, the water of a small river flowing fast and strong next to you. You always stop to pick up a flower on your path, because you can. You have the time. No one judging you for it, no one questioning you. Just you and the world.

You pick up anything you find on your path that catches your eye.

After awhile you stop. The once crowded and cold city now a green distant memory on the horizon.

You take everything you gathered from your bike and leave your rusty steed behind as you walk into the forest up the hill.

The air was fresh and the greenery crunched under your feet, still wet from the morning dew. You held onto your things, as a small meadow came into view.

It was wild. Left alone for years it had finally the strength to grow anything that dared to make an appearance, no one judging it by it's beauty nor it's purpose. It had Strawberries sharing a place with Dandelions and Thistle with Poppies.

You walked past it just a little further, only to stop at the top of the small hill.

Taking a deep breath you lay down all you had gathered before you, the items from the supermarket reminding you of your old life and those from the road wild and random reminding you of what you are searching for in this new world.

Taking a deep breath you lay it on the stone before you in the grass. Spreading it out carefully.

You look over the weathered stone and you had to wipe away some dirt to see the words carved into it.

The first letter still visible to you. R. The following one thin and long could easily mistaken for a crack in the stone if it weren't followed by a P.

However, it was the name underneath it that made your movements soften.

----

Long one hehe.

I do wonder, what did anyone else gather while reading this, what did you imagine be written on the stone?

Hope you ok op!

why must people exist 😔

don’t be embarrassed by who you are - being talkative and bubbly is lovely, being quiet and shy is beautiful - you should never be ashamed

also people should keep in mind that sometimes when an artist says “doodle” what they mean is “stress-free art”. that doesn’t necessarily mean that the “doodle” they made is something that they didn’t work hard at or didn’t spend a long time on. some people get really out of control when they see impressive works and the artist write “just a doodle” and they think, this is it, this is the end, im no longer going to be an artist, how can i possibly compare myself.

sometimes “just a doodle” means “not working on commissions or something work-based”, so don’t fret yourselves. plus not everyone who posts art plans on a bunch of people seeing it. you don’t really expect your stupid poorly written artist caption to be seen by a lot of people via reblogs,
