The Section Starter I Completed For Volume 1 Of @lacquer-zine

The section starter I completed for Volume 1 of @lacquer-zine
I went for a movie poster look for a movie based off of the events of battle city. I thought a movie studio would go for fictionalised events around battle city from the perspective of fictional participant. It would save time and money for the studio and give more freedom in portrayals of the events. Plus the idea of an Ember Island style retelling of the events is really funny to me.
Went for a real vapour wave aesthetic for the colour palette and added a ton of effects just for fun. The glitch and screen tone effects are probably my favourite. For the first time painting city scene this came out really well, I can’t believe I actually made the perspective make somewhat sense.

These prints where the most popular item on my store, so popular I sold out of them. So I’ve managed to finally find a local printing workshop which work with riso for a second print of them.
They’re just as nice as before and I got them printed on slightly higher quality paper. It’s all pretty awesome. I really want to do some more risoprint designs now.

A triple page digipet spread I completed with @beemotionpicture for Volume 1 of @lacquer-zine
Tried to mirror the characters arcs in the digipet evolutions. Most of them should be pretty obvious. @beemotionpicture gave me a ton of references of the magazine so the idea came together real quick.
Making the device pixel art screens was definitely my favourite part. I’m probably going to try out a bit more pixel art if I get the time.
I’m most proud of these pages out of what I completed for the zine. They look like actual magazine pages and they where so fulfilling to complete

Cafe ad and photo combo I completed for @lacquer-zine
Had lots of fun designing food for this spread. Came up with a little outfit for a cafe style dark magician girl which I rally liked too!!Â
I really did go mad with the colours on that photo huh? It was really interesting to try out a completely diffrent colour palette from everything else I did at that point. Liked how it came out quite a bit :)))

An original toon commission this time for “Toon Empire”. I haven’t practiced many buildings before so the linart took a little while to get right but it came out great.
Sketch made by the commissioner this time around.
