"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." Kate said moving to stand by the instrument so that they could talk.

"I do, but not half as well as you, I'm barely passable." Kate said with a smile.

Edwina was the musical one, but now with Kate married to Anthony and Edwina abroad, Kate wished more than anything to get to know this new family she'd married into.

"What are you playing, is it new?" Kate asked gesturing to the sheet music.

Elain wanted to believe Feyre, wanted to believe they'd see the world together, squeezing her sister's hands she smiled.

"You're a good sister you know, I'm sorry I didn't always treat you well. You deserved so much better." Feyre had kept them alive, Feyre had sacrificed for them, she wished she hadn't been so awful.

"Can you ever forgive me?"

"I have my moments." A lot of the time Elain felt lost, but occasionally the fog would clear from her mind and she was able to be herself again.

Right now was one of those times.

Elain reached out to wipe the tear off her younger sister's cheek, and smiled sweetly.

"Do you remember when you came back to the manor, we talked about exploring the continent together?" Elain asked, it seemed like a lifetime ago now.

"I wish we'd had the chance to do that."

"Thank you, I took some inspiration from the places we traveled on our honeymoon." Kate smiled, traveling through India was inspiring to say the least.

"Are you enjoying yourself this evening?"

The words of the Viscountess touched Thinya's heart deeply. The brunette was very honoured to interact with Kate, admiring her for the woman that she was. Her green hues showed kindness and sincerity. Thinya had hope that deep inside she would one day have the same fate. A marriage of love, not an arranged one. "Do I even get a choice?" It didn't feel like it, the mating bond had just happened, it wasn't something she or Lucien had chose, though he seemed more willing to follow where it went than she herself was.

If he was alive, Edmund would probably adore Kate. Like he would be the father figure she probably needs.
