"All sorts of things, the future, the past, about what my dad would think of the job I'm doing." Calvin shrugged, he'd been eighteen when his dad had died. Beth had been a kid, Calvin had taken on the responsibility of running the family business and taking care of Beth and his mom.

"He loved our land, I just want to make him proud."

"Are you actually speechless? Did I find a way to make Scarlett Ewing speechless?" Calvin teased as he watched her take in the view.

"This view is what I imagine they saw when they settled this property way back when, plus it's real pretty at sunset." He turned to Scarlett and smiled, he was glad he was sharing it with her.

"I like to come up here and think sometimes."
