"I would like that very much..." Sybbie hesitated for a moment and watched him move towards the house.

"Barrow?" She waited for his attention to return to her.

"Thank you... for telling me about my mama... I hope you can tell me some more stories soon."

Sybbie followed his lead, finishing her own cigarette and snuffing it out before pulling the pack of gum out of her pocket and offering him a piece. It would cover the smoke smell on their breath at least a little.

"Maybe I could come visit you in America? I'm so glad you're here, but I don't want to lose touch again."

"And you can play them for your future neices and nephews." Kate smiled, now that they had told their respective mamas and family members, Kate was being more open with her pregnancy, and was starting to adjust to the idea of an impending child.

"Maybe you'll teach them how to play, I taught Edwina but I'm sure you'll be the better teacher."

Not at all, Bon. I speak only the truth." Kate smiled, Francesca reminded Kate a little of Edwina when they were young, it was easy to fall back into old habits.

"Perhaps you and I can work together to put the songs I remember from India down on sheet music? That way you can play them yourself if you want to."

Day 6: Passions 🍪

I can absolutely see Elain sharing her love of baking and cooking with Nyx as he grows: letting him add ingredients to her mixes, practice rolling out dough, or making the perfect cookie shape. Baking played a role in Elain’s healing journey and I can imagine that sharing it with those closest to her would be so special.

I know that anytime I commission Oli, I can trust wholeheartedly that the end result is going to be exceptional! This piece will always be near and dear to me and I am so so grateful to @oli_diart for making it happen!
