Hey I'm gonna start something that'll maybe go nowhere let's go

hunter becoming a palisman carver is just. christ, i can’t even fully describe it because i’m still actively sobbing but. is that not the embodiment of love? of healing? that he had that, he had a palisman, he had a friend, his first real friend. someone who would never hurt him, like he’s always been so used to. someone who was patient with him, loved him. and it got taken away, it got destroyed, and it hurt, it hurt, but he came back. flapjack is a part of him, tattooed on his skin and etched in stone forever, that love is everlasting. and now hunter shares it, and with every palisman he carves and every life he brings into this world flapjack returns a little more. how many flapjacks are there in the boiling isles, now? how many palismen, being there for kids when they have nothing else? helping them heal from their traumas? keeping them safe? loving them? flapjack isn’t gone, really. flapjack is in hunter’s eyes and scars and hands and in every single thing he makes. flapjack lives on.

Again, admiring the brilliance of Dana Terrace and how well she knows fandom culture and uses that to her advantage while also giving Disney one last 'go fuck yourself'

Because when the credits run, the names of the cast and crew are made very large and visible, and placed over key scenes that are sure to be screenshotted and shared by the massive and passionate fanbase, and linger long enough to be read with a shifting layout that doesn't block the key parts of the animation going on in the background.

And then the Disney logo comes up, and it's small, lasts for less than a second, and is placed over a visually uninteresting background shot that is likely to be ignored.

i'll never say this publicly but honestly i think tigerstar had some valid ideas about having one big clan. obviously he was super wrong with all the violence and force, but one big clan could solve a lot of issues. No more border patrol fighting, more food for everyone during leaf-bare season, no drama involving cross-clan mates, etc etc. a lot of deaths could be avoided if we all took care of one another instead of fighting all the time

That's not what they meant and you KNOW it. They brought up some valid points about preserving lives, and denounced Tigerstar's actions as much too violent. Starclan above, no cat can have an opinion these days...

Honestly I don't know how I feel about this... each Clan is beautifully unique and has their own traditions, which would fade away if Clans were desolved altogether. But OP makes a valid point about less violence and food scarcity. I hate the idea of sending my kits off to become Warriors, only for them to die during a stupid argument about Sunningrocks. A pile of rocks is NEVER worth a cat's life, whether they are in your Clan or not. And we have lost lives like that before.

I agree! Traditions are important, but every medicine cat knows that working together saves lives. Sharing herbs can stop the spread of greencough, and sharing prey stops kits from crying from hunger. We really need a better system, because I can't cry myself to sleep another night, blaming myself for not having enough cobwebs to stop a kit from bleeding out in front of me.

i know april fools is a terrible time to post serious and hot takes but oh well serious hot take time

i always found it really strange how pretty much any media creator who gives lgbtq+ rep (dana terrace, nintendo rebecca sugar, ) are always the ones who get the most absolute hate across tumblr, twitter, and pretty much every other social media

like i get people want the best representation possible but its so odd to me people attack those who give it instead of those who don't, creators who queerbait, creators who outright refuse to

i mean dana terrace got her whole show and passion shortened to give us such beyond amazing rep, nintendo has removed gender choices from most main games and heavily pushed lgtbq+ games like fire emblem engage and splatoon, rebecca sugar has been through absolutely everything horrible cause of cartoon network giving us rep

and like. the latter two literally are hated by nearly all of tumblr and twitter (which are gradually becoming disturbingly similar)

and ive already started seeing people hate dana and go after her on social media for really dumb petty reasons, and with the owl house about to end she's probably gonna go through the same harshness rebecca sugar did

the internet really sucks, i wanna believe its just homophobes sneaking into these fanbases but wow

idk i think we should just appreciate creators who give us rep more. actually say thank you once in our lives instead of being awful to them. if we keep biting the hands that feed us we'll just starve. we should focus our efforts on complaining about those who oppress us and refuse to rep us

anyways thank you dana terrace thank you nintendo thank you rebecca sugar for everything you all have done

there aren't words to fully express how i feel after that. dana, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for that wonderful show. it brought me and my friends together. it was such a beautiful show and yeah, i'm devastated that it's over, but i'm so glad that it happened.
