I’ve been thinking about this lately and then I saw this panel from Injustice ground zero and I think it really exemplifies the problem I have with joker, the second he leaves batman’s street level little world he completely falls apart as a villain. The idea that he could beat hawkwoman is hilarious, he might dodge her mace a few times but the first time she connects its just like completely over. Everytime I see him top a best villains list or something I just remember that panel from dreamwar where apolo kills him in like a second. He, a lot like batman, just requires too much plot to function for me and I wish writers would pick someone more interesting to base their comics around

I really really like that the CW was trying to give us both Tricksters (James & Axel) at the same time, even causing Maximum Chaos together- given, like most aspects of the CW, it was executed questionably.

It DID get me really into the idea of Axel-as-James’-apprentice/sidekick, eventually inheriting his mantle, rather than an unnecessary replacement. It’s especially great if, rather than Axel seeking James out, the Trickster stumbles upon a troubled runaway executing the most elaborate prank he’s seen from anyone other than himself in years and just going “new bestie” at a teenager. The Flashes can’t even object too hard because it’s somehow an improvement in the kid’s life, which nearly gives Barry a heart attack-

They’d also make each other Worse, which is always fun

Cracky AU where AtomSmasher kidnaps a junior member of the Teen Titans because, without any warning or context, he met a kid who looked just like his aunt Mary, with the name she and his uncle Al had picked out for their baby if it was boy, using powers very similar to said uncle 🙃
