It's finally time! I've been excited to post about this FOREVER. Here is the cover for my new memoir about loving nature and struggling with depression. I'm very proud of this book and I adore this cover.

me explaining to my grandma that the turkey tail and golden oyster mushrooms and birds nest fungi growing on her huge backyard tree stump are simply eating the dead wood to return it to the soil and they're cute and colorful and add to the whimsy of her landscaping and are not causing the weeds in other places of the yard or harming her little white dog


You might hear sometimes that I wrote the terrifying creepy pasta The Day of All The Blood and that is technically true but canonically it was written by a squid named Creepy who I made in a creepy crawlers thing maker oven when I was ten years old and somehow still have. Here he is watching over the jar the tiny anemones live in (so if anybody wanted to steal them they will get too scared)

In the fall in the Pacific Northwest, you might find this very tiny dragon jealously guarding its hoard of fungus in the old growth forests

saw my first northern leopard spotted dorid in the wild this weekend! also orange sea cucumber, crabs galore, and a calcareous tubeworm :’)
