Gertrude Giggled Softly With The Voice, Thank You So Much..! She Heard The Voice Addressing Her And Scooted

Gertrude giggled softly with the voice, “Thank you so much..!” She heard the voice addressing her and scooted over to the window, smiling happily from her chat with the driver.

“Oh yeah..! It was nice, you certainly know how to hire good service ‘boss,’” she snickered a little when she called him that, but she was still thinking about everything the voice told her. If she just knew a bit more, maybe it would be easier to piece everything together.

The red in her cheeks out of the embarrassment for asking in the first place faded immediately. She was back to being pale, this time out of a bit of fear. Mainly because this voice brought up people going missing RIGHT AFTER saying their boss eats a lot.

“Are...you trying to imply him eating has something to do with the disappearances of anyone who upsets him? Wait, is he a cannibal?” Her pale blue cataracts widened in fear at the thought she might be barely avoiding a gruesome end, or is being lead right to one.

This was my attempt of drawing @risto-licious ‘s beautiful creation, Old Beast Risto! I decided to use blending for the different shades of grey on his body, so I guess this was also to sorta practice using those blending tools for me. I hope they like it ❤️

(Yes there is a hidden Toriki, but I wasn’t proud of her side view so I decided to just leave it a sketch—)

Gertrude reached up and took off her hat, all the hair she tucked into it tumbling out stopping at waist length. Once she had felt where the, what she thought was a couch, was, she sat down, still a bit on edge and nervous she walked into her own doom.

“Mm...that’s fair enough. I mean, they said that apparently people disappeared only if they messed with you, but all I’ve got is the strength of a woman who surpassed her hundredth birthday! So I should be fine!”

She chuckled softly, assuming all she should do is be mindful of how she treated this old man, starting to think maybe what the crab told her was just some sort of exaggeration. No one could’ve actually died, right? Maybe this man just scared them away into hiding...right?

Does anyone have any tutorials on how to take solid looking clumps of hair in a digital painting and make them look more like they have their own individual strands? I’m sorry, I just really wanna get back into digital painting and want to try and practice things like better shading, lighting, coloring and ways to draw parts of the body like how this artists draws hair while doing it.

“Oh! Um...okay, that’s fine.” She smiled softly, but before that she had a look of confusion and suspicion, never really encountering a human that was unable to get inside of a car. “I’ll see you there..!”

Gertrude jumped a bit, startled from the sounds of crackling and static, but as the warmth began to spread she began to ease up. A small smile spread on her face and her eyes closed in contentment, her shivering coming to a stop.

“Oh my...t-thank you so much, sir. This truly means a lot..”

She gently held up her bony hands like she was warming them at a bonfire, completely calming down. It had been a long time since she had been around someone as kind as this supposedly human magician, but when she thought about that she frowned slightly.

“If only I had my vision back..it’d be nice to actually see the face of someone who’s been so nice to me, so I can at least assure myself I haven’t been going crazy with age.”
