yeah this is. part of why i dont like the sentiment i see sometime that “remember autistic spencer is just a headcanon! 🤗” maybe those people and i just have different definitions of headcanon. idk. to me autistic spencer is subtext. headcanons to me are things like “jj's favourite animal is the platypus” not things that are called out this explicitly in the show anyway like. not to be a cunt. but if ur looking at this character in this scene and going “nu-uh!! he's not autistic. you guys are just projecting >:(” i am going to look at you sideways actually. especially if ur turning around and talking about how hot you think he is. anyway hella relatable. life would be so much easier if people just said what they meant and believed i meant what i said like. why are u responding to the thing you decided i meant instead of the thing i said with my mouth. bro. im yapping now. bye. alex blake spencer reid blake & reid criminal minds criminal minds s08e03 criminal minds 8x3 through the looking glass not fic criminal minds rewatch

thinking about what it must have been like for jj and her family after her sister's suicide. living in a small town (a population of 2136 in 2010) where everyone knows everyone. possibly quite religious. the way everyone would look at them. the way everyone would look at her. the way she can never go back, because they'll always look at her like that. and maybe that's why she keeps it a secret from the team for so long—she spent so much time with everybody knowing, once she's somewhere else, she wants nobody to know.
