HEAR ME OUT ON THIS, I’VE DONE A LOT OF THINKING ON THIS!! So I saw a post that briefly mentioned a Jonas and Noora friendship, and it kind of sparked something in me. pt. 2

•We know Jonas has a lot of strong views on capitalism and Noora is a proud feminist. I could definitely see the two of them sharing passion for a variety of topics. For example when Jonas calls Isak out for pointing out that guy at the studio is gay. And how Noora had strong views on the role of violence in society. I think they are both pretty well-rounded in their opinions and knowledgeable about a variety of topics.

• Also the both of them are so put together. Definitely a power couple in the making.

•Jonas hasn’t had any serious relationships since 1st year, and Eva and Chris have something going on so I don’t see that relationship coming back. Noora and William are just a big ???

•They probably see eachother quite a bit, with Noora being Isak’s roommate and Jonas being his best friend. I can imagine one day Jonas comes over and Noora is reading or writing something on a topic Jonas has a joint interest in. They get into a bit of a heated conversation and both of them are lowkey shook to find someone else equally passionate about said topic(which ends up short-lived with the appearance of Isak).

•Maybe one day Jonas comes over, and Isak is busy (maybe he’s on the phone or he’s out a little longer than expected with Even). He just decides to wait for Isak because they have something important to do, but then Noora arrives and her eyes are kind of puffy. Jonas being a nice guy is just like “what’s up??” and she tries to play it off but ends up unloading on him about William.

• After initial meltdown she continues to come to him for advice as he is her only guy (friend?) source. They start to purposely spend time together, and initially it’s under the guise of Noora getting advice on William but they quickly find that they get along very well.

• Eva is the first to sense something going on with them. She’s friends with the both of them and she can’t help to notice that the two of them talk about each other a lot, not excessively but it’s an awful lot for two people who didn’t interact at all before. She talks to Isak about it but unfortunately he’s reverted from his snakey ways and refuses to get involved.

• They would finally get together at one of the Kosegruppa parties. Perhaps Jonas has had a bit too much to drink. He bumps into Noora and they talk for a little and he can’t help but to lean in to kiss her.

•Noora would momentarily be s h o o k, but she got over the shock she’d kiss him right back. Cue smirking Eva, Isak shaking his head, and varying shocked faces from the rest of their friends.

• Okay but imagine how good they would be for eachother:

• Jonas would tease her for her taste in music but when she gets down he’d gladly play all of her favorite JB songs on the guitar.

• Noora weaning Jonas off the weed by helping him identify and unload some of the stress that caused him to start smoking in the first place.

• Jonas teaching Noora how to unwind. We know that she is very headstrong and prefers to handle things on her own. Jonas respects that and he never forces her to talk about things, rather he shows her his favorite places and songs and shows in an attempt to make her feel better.

• Noora would love Narcos, and she can understand what they’re saying because of her time in Spain. Jonas stops watching it with Isak (who has been much more vocal about his lack of interest since his self-discovery) and it becomes his and Noora’s thing.

• Jonas teaching Noora to skate, because Noora gets tired of watching him from the sidelines.

• They’re both pretty independent people. They can go days without texting and they don’t often spend time with each others friends (Jonas hates the gossip and Noora hates the sexist video games they play). They are both very loyal to eachother so trust comes pretty easy.

• Neither of them are big on PDA, but Jonas always has an arm around her shoulder or on her waist to show the world “This beautiful girl right here, she’s all mine.”

• The one time-that-is-not-to-be-discussed where Noora convinced Jonas to wear some of her lipstick.

• Jonas, Noora, Eva and Isak would form their own mini squad. Cue lots of embarrassing stories about Isak (and a couple about Eva).

• Noora tries to teach Jonas to cook, but gets fed up with his teasing about how healthy everything is (“it’s like I’m dating a rabbit” “you say you won’t try weed but you clearly love grass”) and kicks him out the kitchen

• Isak bitching about how Noora is stealing his best friend but then Jonas reminds him that he basically has a live-in boyfriend.

• Ignoring eachother for hours because one of them proved the other wrong or made a really good point. (Nothing that can’t be fixed with kisses and corny jokes.)

• Noora shaping Jonas’s brows, but he ends up looking so odd she never does it again.

Ohhhh maaaaiii gaaaaaa!!! Is shit finally gonna come down?! Even will be at the party right?! I need shit to come down!!! Nå!!!

SANA: What are you doing? MOM: Have you seen my green veil? SANA: *Speaks Arabic* MOM: Yeah.. SANA: Yes! Why? MOM: Because I don’t know what you’re up to anymore. SANA: I’m not up to anything! MOM: You are out with all your friends and suddenly I see you outside with Yousef and then you don’t tell me anything. I’m worried, don’t you understand? SANA: You talk about my friends like they’re criminals or something. It’s not like all non-muslims lie, drink and have lots of sex! MOM: I know that, Sana. SANA: Yeah, then why can’t you trust that I have friends who are good people? MOM: I trust you, Sana, but I know lots of young people don’t follow the same rules as you. And you know that Norwegian society have lots of customs that don’t fit us. SANA: There are lots of things in Islam that doesn’t fit me either! Like its view of homosexuality or why does Islam say that muslim men can marry non-religious women, but muslim women can’t. Isn’t that a bit sexist? At least in the society we live in and when Islam says the Quran can adapt to every society you live in…? MOM: Where is this coming from? SANA: I’m just asking! Aren’t you allowed to ask? MOM: Yes, you’re allowed to ask. You’re allowed to ask. SANA: But what? You don’t have any answers? MOM: I’m just worried about you, Sana. I don’t want you to get hurt. SANA: I won’t get hurt! ELIAS: *Speaks in Arabic* SANA: *Answers in Arabic* ELIAS: I heard. What were you doing with Yousef the other day? SANA: With Yousef? ELIAS: Yeah, mom told me she saw you together. SANA: Oh, yeah. He just walked me home from Noora’s. ELIAS: You like him! SANA: Huh? No! ELIAS: Yousef is a nice guy. SANA: It’s just that he’s not a muslim. ELIAS: Yousef is the most muslim guy I know. He doesn’t drink, he’s always respectful to everyone. SANA: Yeah, but he doesn’t believe in Allah. ELIAS: Doesn’t believe in Allah.. Do you know how many people I know who say they believe in Allah? But they still drink, steal and vandalize. What’s more important? Saying you believe in Allah or live like you believe in Allah? The most important thing to me at least, is that my sister is doing well with a good guy and.. not only goes to the Mosque. SANA: I don’t think mom agrees. ELIAS: You know mom just wants what’s best for us. It’s just that she was born in a completely different country in a completely different time, so she doesn’t know what it’s like to be us. You have to stop having such a sad face. Because when you’re sad, I’m sad too. SANA: I’m not sad. ELIAS: That’s good. SANA: There’s a party at Løkka* tomorrow. If you want to come. ELIAS: With your friends? Those who were at the flat the other day? SANA: Mhm. ELIAS: Fun! Fun. Yeah, of course we’ll come. SANA: Bring Yousef! ELIAS: Yeah, I’ll do that

Hi, I have been driving myself crazy looking for this fic. I remember very little about it but here goes... so lily thinks that sirius and remus are together and tells James how sweet it is that he's so supportive so he makes them pretend to date so he can impress lily and eventually they end up falling in love... I also remember them walking around the lake at the end. That's it. And it's not All Kidding Aside (though I do love that fic) please help me!

i'm bitter because noora always gets so much screentime but also because it makes NO sense this season and they didn't even try an explanation? like can we at least know why chris and sana aren't as close anymore? also, vilde and sana seemed closer than noora and sana in s2 and 3 but that doesn't fit julie shoving noora into every scene so we get caricature vilde instead

I know, I was actually really excited at the start of this season because it was a chance to explore the other side of the girl squad. Sana and Chris were the two who were originally friends and I’ve always been curious what their relationship would be like… but I can accept that Ina is busy. Maybe in-universe they weren’t as close after Chris got absorbed with Kasper but like you said, it would be nice to have given them a nod? Wouldn’t Chris at least still be texting her pictures of cats tagged “it u” or something? But actually the relationship in the girl squad I’ve always found the most interesting for Sana is Vilde: 

They were introduced as the polar opposites of the girl squad and their conflict and its dramatic resolution was the basis of establishing that they’re all friends in the first place. Sana’s had a lot of big emotional moments with her (“I threw water in Ingrid’s face because she and her friends called you a slut for hooking up with William.” “Vilde isn’t a mean person. We’re her friends.” ‘What are you talking about? You’re our bus boss.” “She’s actually the first one I would take to war with me.”) So, even if they were in conflict, I think it would have been way more interesting to put more time into exploring Sana’s relationship with Vilde.

I would have loved this season be more about driving out the problems between them: their shared leadership (just last season they ran Kosegruppa together, this is a thing they do), Vilde’s prejudice getting pulled into the light and confronted, maybe Vilde saying something about how she doesn’t think Sana respects her (two of the nicest things she’d said about Vilde have been said to other people, how good would it be to parallel this in s4 with Sana answering her this time?). We could still get this but Vilde hasn’t really been the face of the conflict (we spend so much time on the Pepsi Max girls) and she’s already been presented as SO unpalatable and SO islamophobic this season. I would much rather first be exploring why Sana said this (and then seeing it break down):

Instead… we’ve had Sana and Noora against the world. It feels strange to ignore that Noora and Eva are best friends and just a little too convenient to me that Noora is number one in Sana’s books once we get to her season. That’s Skam’s biggest weakness, I think: shuffling around their characters from season to season based on what’s convenient and not keeping emotional continuity. Imho, I just think this is far too much time spent on her when she already had an entire season to herself and a significant focus during s1. Why can’t we be spending our remaining minutes on characters who’ll never get the spotlight (*coughs* also Even)? Who have a more organic relationship with the lead? Why instead do we have so much wasted energy on things that don’t even seem to go anywhere (Noora/Yousef, Vilde/Magnus, Noora and Sana talking to those random guys at the cafe)??
