I knew a guy who claimed to ship only gay ships (note he loved mcga and one of the main characters is genderfluid so that was kind of transphobic??) He was like rlly overactive and sent me an edgy meme saying he loved me (note he just broke up with his nb partner, and I hated him) I turned him down and he low-key tried guilt tripping me. I'm putting this here because he seemed like a fujo but. Male.

Why is age gap such a big deal when it comes to homosexual ships?

When a female gets shipped with a male character 10+ years her senior, nobody bats an eye. But when two male characters have a 3-year age gap, everybody loses their minds, calls the ship “pedophilia” (even if they are in the same age range WOW), and sends threats to people who ship it.

This person has been calling me dear even though I specifically told them not to because of personal reasons (trauma) and then continued to accuse me of not caring about minors.

They defended the pedophilic content on ao3 by saying it was all written by survivors of vs a. Which would be ok if it wasnt for the fact that it is extremely romanticized. There is nothing romantic about abuse and they are trying to defend ao3 and the pedophiles on it by saying they are all written by survivors even though they know full well that that isn’t true.

They didn’t even mention how much just about every single person writing fics on ao3 have been romantisizing abuse, rape, child pornography, and the fetishization of lgbt+ characters and real people. They do not in fact care about survivors by saying that ao3 is perfectly fine without actually doing anything to remove its toxic users. They try to say “WELL TUMBLR IS THE SAME” which also isn’t true because Tumblr staff and support have been actively trying to get rid of communities like the bad version of the tcc, school shooter romantisizers, maps, and cp blogs through its updated reporting system. Ao3 hasnt done ANY of that. At all.

So not only is this person defending the pedophiles and fettishizers on ao3, accusing me of not caring about victims, and harassing me by using a name I told them not to use because of a trauma I have experienced, but they are also in turn defending a website with little to no control over it’s audiences and creators and being a hypocrite by not caring to stop calling me dear despite my trauma. They will also probably harass me over this (they provably have nothing better to do in their life than to stalk people’s blogs after harassing them) but I felt that it was important to let you know so you can avoid them. This is truly disgusting behavior and I highly recommend you block this person. Better yet, you could report them to Tumblr and have them removed since it’s quite obvious they don’t like this website and want to leave.
