I don’t want to hear about how you’re minors and literally every adult on this hellsite is harassing you like it’s some sort of card you can play to get people to back off when you’re doing wrong. You toss around loaded terms like they’re candy and then try to use them to defend yourself when people call you out on it. You’re choosing to participate in discourse, you can handle people telling you the truth.

How many csa survivors need to tell  you that what you’re saying isn’t true, that you don’t speak for them, that calling them pedophiles for shipping a fictional ship is hurting them? 

You preach being about protecting surivors but that’s not what you’re about. If you wanted to protect survivors you’d respect them and litsten to them when they tell you what you’re doing is wrong and that you’re being harmful.

But no, because you refuse to listen to anyone but yourselves. You’re directly contributing to the harm of csa survivors and minors by refusing to listen. Gotta say I’m pretty disappointed with how some people handled that kl@nce shipper in the sheith tag. You told them to go choke, insulted their writing, sent them romantic sheith fic knowing it made them uncomfortable, sent them nsfw headcanons while accusing them of being a minor (they aren’t luckily), and called them pretty horrible names.

This is NOT how we should conduct ourselves and I don’t know how many times it needs to be said that we as a fandom shouldn’t stoop to klanti/anti levels of harassment or harassment of any kind. I understand being frustrated by their obviously misinformed views but that person clearly needs mental help in some way. Ignoring them and blocking them is the best way to deal with these kinds of people because then we won’t see their bullshit in the tags anymore.

I’m sure there’re new people in the fandom who weren’t here to see the gross behavior directed towards sheith/shaladin shippers but no one is superior in fandom. We are all here to have fun and contribute the content we work hard on so other people can enjoy it too. People like that klanti are irrelevant and, while they did force themselves into our space purposefully involving themselves in something that supposedly triggered them, are not worth a second of our time and I highly encourage you all to ignore them. Ignore and block is something we should all repeat over and over again to remind ourselves that being involved in that kind of negative behavior is not beneficial in the long run or fun.

You know what is fun though? Reblogging and commenting on other people’s headcanons! Reblogging art and fic! Posting your own art and fic! Making AUs! Do things that make you smile and feel good.

Remember not to lose sight of what fandom is really about and as someone who has been in fandom for 15+ years I can say surrounding yourself with positivity is going to result in the best fandom experience.

Not to mention fujoshis are usually very okay with fetishizing rape, abuse and pedophilia, which has real life consequences. And some of them are transphobic/ableist/racist as well.

A fujoshi is someone who likes “Yaoi,” aka very sexualized gay relationships- typically in anime/manga.

We generally dislike them because they consider gay relationships to be taboo and even wrong at times, and consider themselves to be “bad” for indulging in them.

They also are very hostile and downright cruel at times towards lesbians, female characters, etc. many go as far to say they wish the female characters, or sometimes real life females, would die or be killed. A lot of fusjoshis include real life men, like you tubers especially, in their ships- even when these men say they’re very uncomfortable with it. Many even send death threats to these men’s partners.

And most importantly, they don’t generally see gay relationships as that- a relationship. They see it as a taboo fetish for them to indulge in. Gay is not a sexuality to them, it’s a kink, a fetish. Many gay people are extremely uncomfortable by this, but when approached, fujoshis become hostile and even violent.

That’s just some info on them, I don’t wanna dig a ton deeper- but I hope that helped!!!
