Imagine Armand slips up and calls Daniel “beautiful boy” and Daniel’s all like “HUH? What’d you just call me?” And Armand clears his throat and says “Mr. Molloy, of course. That’s your name isn’t it?” And then there’s this weird, awkward tension wherein Armand hopes that Daniel bought that and Daniel is just sitting there wondering if he misheard Armand bc it REALLY sounded like he said beautiful boy and now Daniel WANTS Armand to call him that bc it made his heart stutter when he thought Armand had said it the first time….

Is Armand still calling Daniel ‘Mr Molloy’ because it rhymes with ‘Beautiful Boy’ cause let’s face it he’s not being respectful

okay, I have a thought about this. I think you’re right and they’re not going to address it in the show…

BUT WHAT IF THEY DID!?

Speaking from a purely self-indulgent, hypothetical place, wouldn’t it be interesting if the show took it there, but didn’t verbally or outrightly address it?

You know how in the trailers, there’s a scene where Louis takes a picture of Claudia on a motorcycle? This one:

And the fact that Louis obviously gets really into photography this season:

Well, what if, in 2022, he still has Claudia’s photo. And it gets brought up in the interview. And he shows it to Molloy. Daniel is glad to have a face to put to the name, but is otherwise, nonplussed about the whole thing. Then the camera pans down to show us, the audience, the photo. And it’s not Delainey or Bailey. It’s someone else.

A stranger.

But still, Claudia.

Idk that would just really fuck me up personally.

I like to think that neither bailey bass or delainey hayles are actually what claudia looked like, but rather the closest that louis’ memory can conjure. It’s already been established that some of his memories are completely fabricated at this point, and even he doesn’t fully realize. Maybe these are girls he’s seen in passing in the 2020s, maybe they’re just complete fabrications of his mind, but either way I think it would be a fun way to approach a casting change

I fucking love the new Armand & Daniel dynamic. It's hilarious how they both each keep flexing their power over their 'domain' in front of each other -- it's Armand's house, but it's Daniel's interview.

Armand can (and does) have control over sitting where he wants in the dining room and the orders for the staff, but Daniel has control over what makes it into the interview (and when Armand is allowed to contribute to it, even at the very end when Armand joins in).

Interestingly, Armand seems to want to flex similarly over his relationship with Louis...but it doesn't work.

Louis doesn't take a break when Armand says he should -- but he does when Daniel gently suggests it. And I think that's foreshadowing some cracks in the whole facade.
