Furious-mango - Tumblr Blog

It‘s time travel, I‘m sure of it!
Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.

Man the cursed sapphire in Peaky Blinders is so weird to me because it’s meant to be this big bad curse that claimed the live of someone Tommy loved and cared for and then came back a decade later to do it again.
But both times the death of a female character is used to be like “oh look at Tommy. Look at how sad he is and how self destructive he is in his grief. But he only drinks, fucks and represses his emotions through other questionable decisions because he’s a tortured soul who cares soo much even if he doesn’t show it. Look at this sad man, don’t you think he’s a good person deep down? Don’t you think he deserves to be redeemed?”
Both times it is used as nothing more than a quick, cheap way to make Tommy sad.
Curse of the sapphire? More like curse of lazily sacrificing female characters to prop up the main character.

Solitude had made her secretive—self-manipulated. Years of haunting had dulled her in ways you wouldn't believe and sharpened her in ways you wouldn't believe either.

visiting the houses of 19th century-early 20th century American rich people turned into museums is always a weird experience, they were so obsessed with recreating european aristocracy for themselves down to buying 18th century French panelling and all the furniture etc.

Oh it’s finally cold enough to wear my fancy-shmancy coat and the flat cap I bought specifically for aesthetic reasons and go on a gathering storm comes a tall short handsome goblincore man girl in a dusty black burgundy checkered coat with a red right both hands because I don’t wear gloves they bother me too much.
