Let the light in

Let The Light In

I could actually go on a long ass tangent about how both Hikaru and “Hikaru” have been shown to represent Yoshiki’s light and happiness in various instances of the manga , or how Hikaru literally means light in Japanese to emphasize that he’s always been a bringer of joy and light to everyone and and and!!!

a digital painting of maki and mai zenin as children. they are laughing and holding hands, looking towards the viewer, standing in a field that’s fully covered in snow. they are seen from the hips-up. they are wearing matching black winter coats, off-white scarves and ear muffs. they are both drawn with brown skin and flushed cheeks. a light dusting of snow clings to their hair and clothes. in the background, just barely in frame, there is a spot in the snow soaked in blood. the horizon is faint and messily painted in.

i found a photograph my mother took of someone i don’t recognize anymore.
