If you want to polish off that whole dozen d 🍩 nuts, I discovered a technique. It works best with Krispy Kremes, but what you do is take a big bite (or stuff the whole thing in your mouth) and take a swig of beer before chewing.

The beer does two things: with just a few chews, it makes an easily-swallowed slurry out of the donut, and the relative bitterness of the beer cuts the sweetness of the donuts. KKs work best because they almost instantly dissolve when the beer hits it, and the combo tastes really good.

I'd follow that with a pint of half and half as a chaser, but that's just me.
