WTF ?!?!?

Reposting this because my inbox has been receiving a lot of messages asking for donations and I know some people are scared to help anyone for fear it may fall in the wrong hands (rightfully so).

I empathise with everyone who is genuinely trying to get help on this platform, scammers like these just make it all the more difficult for them to get the donations they desperately need.

Names of scam accounts

A post compiling assorted names from scammers running medical,vet bills,and insulin scams, and more. All names listed here have been recorded from confirmed scam accounts, often hidden in multicolored text. These names are likely stolen off real people who are now being impersonated. Please make sure you haven’t sent money to these names from accounts that are relatively new. These may also appear in other scams.

For those of you who are seeing us for the first time, this project— @ficsforgaza—aims to raise funds for Palestine by connecting readers with fanfic authors, fan artists, and other fandom creators. If you are interested in joining the cause, you can read more about what we’re doing and how to get involved here.

As of today, we have officially raised over $2,000! We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been a part in this initiative; raising so much money in under two weeks simply proves that fandom can (and does) make a difference, and that we are working toward a worthy cause. We are beyond proud of what our community has come together to do ❤️

We have even more good news: we are no longer shadowbanned! This means that our blog should now be visible to a wider audience since we are searchable.
