Here is Inktober day 1! WOHO HERE WE GO! I'm following a list from @_art_is_my_medicine in Instagram, and I have to say, get prepared for a nice walk throw the forest >:3

1 year already!

During all this last year, I have been growing, learning and creating, and I have met so much wonderful people. This year, my first comic has risen until the second part and I have seen so much love from you all! For that reason, today, that is the day I started the comic, I want to thank you all for your support and help!

This has been a long time coming and I’ve run out of options by this point. I’m starting a gofundme to help raise enough money for me to be able to move out of my house and escape my abusive brother.

For years, he has abused me physically, mentally, and emotionally, and a lot of my childhood and teenage years were lost because of what he has done to me. Countless times he has strangled me, punched me, beat me up, broke my arms and legs, belittle me, and the psychological damages from those moments still linger in my mind whenever he shows up or speaks. I have called the cops multiples of times, but they never helped me. In most cases, they sent me away to a facility where I lost more time of my life I am never getting back, all while he was unaffected. Another time, I called the police when he was going on a rampage against my cousin. The police had to break in through the back door where they see my brother holding and threatening my cousin with a metal rake. There were holes in the wall where he had punched and even blood, but the cops didn’t arrest him. I even talked to a cop outside and told him I was scared and that he was abusive, but he said to “let my mother take care of this.” So I cannot rely on the cops to help me.

He has threatened my mother and I many times and I feel so unsafe because he can hurt me as he has done before. Even for the simplest of things like telling him to pick up after himself throws him into a rage. My mother won’t let me fight back and my father, who doesn’t live with us, doesn’t see the big deal.

Another note is that my mother is afraid of my brother and constantly seems to take his side or try to coax me into not making him angry, which basically means to do whatever he says and not engage with him by any means. She wouldn’t even let me call the cops on him when he has attacked me. A lot of things she can’t do with my brother, she does to me, which ends up seeming like she takes out her frustrations on me.

I have many evidence—photos and audio—that shows signs of his rampages and abuse towards me, however no scars to prove, only the psychological ones which has messed me up to this day.

Instead of trying to plead with my mother or the cops anymore, I want to raise at least $8000 so I can safely move out, fix my car, and sustain myself while I’m still in college. I do plan on finding a part time job and take commissions once I move so that I can continue to live on and support myself. I am mentally ill so I struggle a lot, but I have no one and nowhere to turn to, so this is my last option.

I do plan on finding a part-time job as well as doing commissions on the side to help sustain myself once I move out.
