The ADL came out today with new figures for antisemitic violence. They recorded 2,031 antisemitic hate crimes in America between October 7 and December 7. That’s more than twice the number of antisemitic hate crimes recorded by the FBI in all of 2022. More Jews were the victims of hate crimes in the last two months than all Queer people were, combined, during all of last year.

About 28 trans people were hate crimed a month on average in 2022, according to the FBI. According to the ADL, for Jews, it was closer to 34 hate crimes a day. Doing the math, I found out I’m about four times more likely to be hate crimed for being visibly Jewish than I am for being a visible trans woman.

If we’re calling what’s happening to trans people in America right now a genocide, and I think we should, what do we call what’s happening to Jews? How much farther does it have to go before goyim start to care about our suffering?
