Just as grapes must be crushed to become wine, and Olives crushed to become oil, so it is when we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit. This crushing is the transformation of the gospel of Christ taking place within our hearts and minds and occurs inside of us gently as we allow the Spirit to move inside of us over time. The Apostle Paul reminds us of this when he wrote in Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the ways of this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Rarely does transformation happen to a person overnight, because it takes training, testing and time. It may even be a life-long process, but you will find the value of it to be priceless.

The crushing process requires a burning desire to know and follow Jesus. Ask yourself; “How important is it for me to be like Jesus? What price am I willing to pay to be godly?”

Over time a natural flow develops out of an intimate relationship with Jesus. The more you come to love Jesus, the more you are motivated to obey and please Him. The more you start to wean away from self-love and the pleasures of the world to become wholly dedicated to Christ.

The crushing process requires discipline which develops by reading the Word of God, worshiping Him and times set aside for prayer.

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are born again. That means that at that time, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts and becomes our Guide, our Comforter, and the one who convicts us and speaks to God on our behalf. My friend, I wouldn’t trade a single moment of my time for the crushing process I have experienced getting to know Jesus intimately. I want to spend the rest of my life submitting myself to all the crushing He has for me to grow in Him. Think about it. Are you willing to go through the crushing process, too? Just like fine olive oil and wine, it is well worth it.

These days everything is customizable, from designing a custom background screen on your PC, to organizing apps on your cell phone, or selecting which news feeds of social groups to ascribe to. Unfortunately, many people approach their 'spirituality' the same way.

Sadly, when it comes to decisions about what happens after this life ends, for many it’s like playing pin-the-tail on the donkey with spiritual blinders on hoping your pin hits the right place. However the end of this game never turns up a winner as Solomon once wrote:

“There is a way which Seemeth Right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of DEATH.” Proverbs 14:12

Jesus Christ said that He alone was “The Only Way” to eternal life, and those that place their hope on him will find and have salvation.

Christ is the ANSWER. Jesus is the WAY.

Pin your hopes upon HIM.

Remember the days when book stores were flooded with self-help books? Books like “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” “Think and Grow Rich,” and “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” were huge best sellers, but in looking back if you read these books, did these books really help you??

You may have read them and felt better for a bit, read another one - but then slipped back to where you were-- and that’s what most people did. They’d read a book, follow everything in it and see some improvement, but when it came down to it there was always one piece of the puzzle missing that they needed that gave a long-term benefit. That 'something' is the only “true self-help book” that has ALL the answers for every question and every human need and that is the TRUE guide book to life, and it’s called The Bible!!;

Here’s the thing...the Bible is God’s Word written from Him directly to EACH of us, and it speaks to us about EVERY issue of living from love, marriage, death, hate, and divorce...everything imaginable that relates to our life here on earth. The Bible speaks to the deepest parts of our being which we call our spirit man and it reveals knowledge which directly comes from the Holy Spirit of God. You cannot beat information like that!!

The Bible is authoritative, educational and inspirational and it’s effect is NOT temporary, but long lasting. It reaches deep down inside us teaching how to REALLY live slicing to the very core of our being and is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). It is THE in-depth essential standard “how-to-live life book!”

My friend, If you have tried reading self-help after self-help book only to feel frustrated because there must be an answer you have not yet discovered, then open the Bible! Start with the book of Proverbs and you will be amazed at what wisdom you will gain! Follow up with the book of Psalms and then the Gospel of John in the New Testament and read the words of Jesus and His words will speak in a way that is more meaningful that no self-help book can match.

If you want true ’self-help’ there’s one book that delivers - THE BIBLE. Read it every day and in it you’ll find real answers to help you live a true life.

Have you ever laughed so hard that you just couldn’t stop laughing and even when you stopped you have that “Thank goodness it’s over feeling ” only to start up laughing again?! Me too!! Laughter takes away the routines of every day life and turns it into joy which brings physical release from the tensions of life. We all tend to be too serious, and we need a lot more laughter, because it’s good for your soul.

My husband cracks me up when he starts impersonating people while I’m watching a video and he starts prancing around the living room singing and dancing pretending he is a certain character and leaving me in stitches and my sides aching!  I think that Jesus is laughing at Wayne too because God has a great sense of humor. In fact…He Invented IT!

Sadly these days it’s a challenge to find anything to laugh about which has tired out the hearts of many, but according to today’s verse, that may be just the medicine we need to endure!

God created laughter and He is reminding ALL of us to laugh again - especially in this time of restricted life. Remember that Jesus told us to be like little children - and despite these times, little children continue to innocently laugh, so let’s follow their example so we can laugh like little children too!

So look in the mirror,  put a happy smile on your face, and find the humor in life and LAUGH! It’ll do your life GOOD and make your heart MERRY.

As today’s verse says do not practice or consult anyone practicing witchcraft or divination. This includes reading or practicing astrology, playing with a Ouija board, having your palm read, or going to someone interpreting Tarot Cards like this one here.

However whether or not you visit a Tarot card reader, everyone will eventually draw the 'Death Card', and when you do, the question is what will your future be?

Well, the good news is that you don’t need a psychic to find out, because the Bible gives both an answer and a direction about what will happen next because YOU Decide Your Destiny, not what 'the stars or cards' say!

You see the key word here is DECIDE, that is you need to decide where you will go after death. This is the heart of the word REPENTENCE which simply means to Change One’s Mind, and specifically, will you change your mind about God and his offer of salvation? If you do, then the Card of Death has no power over you, but if you don’t then YOU make the decision to accept the darkness and evil that it represents and you choose to go down, not up.

Before this card is dealt to you, you must make a choice.
