A Dramatic TV Program Once Depicted A Man Dying In A Hospital Bed Surrounded By Pictures Behind Him Of

A dramatic TV program once depicted a man dying in a hospital bed surrounded by pictures behind him of his life and with close family by his side. All knew that the end was near and just before he passed he said,

“I have had a wonderful life. All the love, the family, the friends, all my accomplishments, the beautiful places I have seen around the world and the wonderful memories and mementos I have collected. Life has been good, and as I look back I have no regrets. My journey in life is over and I am ready to die and pass into eternal sleep.”

And then he died.

The tragedy in this fictitious story is this same exact scene is being repeated in real life thousands of times each hour all over the world by many oblivious to the new world they are about to enter. Instead of “Straining forward to what lies ahead” they instead leave this life looking back cherishing the souvenirs of life with no thought of looking ahead after their now worthless souvenirs are but a distant memory in the rear view mirror of life.

Jesus put it another way when when He said, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)

Please don’t get to the end of your life with “No Regrets” and LOOKING BACK because you will instead regret not LOOKING FORWARD to a trip that was yours simply by pressing on towards heaven and seeking God’s mercy as your passage there. Putting it bluntly, There Is No 'Eternal Sleep' and living a 'good life' with all it’s souvenirs have no value in eternity. Look forward to Christ today and ask him to forgive you, renew your spirit, and press forward towards Him as the Lord and Saviour of your life.

The journey forward towards God is blessing that you can and will treasure for eternity, and in that only there will certainly be No Regret.

Will you start that journey today?

How Many Moons Are Around Jupiter?

“How many moons are around Jupiter?”

If you said 92, you were right, but how do you know? Well, because someone Told You that’s the answer... but how did you know that’s correct? Examining it yourself would be unreasonable but in this case it’s reasonable to believe others.

So then, “How many moons are around the earth?” is an answer we can seek out ourselves.

If that’s the case, now consider this...

When it comes to “Is the Bible TRUE??” instead of also seeking the answer out for ourselves, most people (maybe you?) instead believe what others say about it like that it’s

Full of contradictions and discrepancies.

Not historically true or accurate

Miracles are not scientifically possible

Espouses unscientific events like the flood/6-day creation

A collection of myths and 'old wives tales'

Not possible for people to rise from the dead.

Been Translated so many times as to be meaningless

Just 'wishful thinking' of people hoping there is a heaven

So, if most (or all) of these are 'true' do you know this because YOU decided to SEEK the truth about it for yourself, or You Just Believed What Others Said??

As today’s verse says, if you truly SEEK (and not reading a few verses here and there) you will be surprised that everything others have said was false.

Friend, do not let others tell you what the Bible says.

FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.

Jesus Command -Take Up Your Cross And Follow Meis Much More Than A Symbol Of The Difficulties, Frustrations

Jesus’ command - “Take up your cross and follow Me” is much more than a symbol of the difficulties, frustrations and pain we as humans experience in this life. Taking up one’ s cross and following Jesus is something completely different.

Because the cross was an instrument of death, Jesus is referring to our commitment to Him, even unto death, meaning that our obedience to the extreme measure and willingness to die is a vital part of truly being His disciple.

Death on a cross was extremely painful and humiliating, so as followers of Christ He expects us to likewise be willing to endure pain or humiliation for Him — no matter what the cost.

This word picture of 'taking up your cross' paints for us the concept of “death to self” which originates in another saying of Christ in Luke 9:24-25, “For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?” The truth is that NOTHING in this life is worth keeping if it means losing eternal life! Not a job, family, friends, or even your own identity. Discipleship at the core means DISCIPLINE — No Matter What The Cost — but the eternal reward is well worth the temporary pain.

Friend, taking up your cross to follow Christ simply means commitment and obedience to living a disciplined life of obedience to God even if it means giving up your worldly hopes, dreams, possessions - or even your very life if need be.

Christian, are you willing to Take Up That Cross?

Glancing across a wide boulevard I saw the famous “Sugarloaf”mountain jutting up from the yacht harbor ahead and excitedly when the light turned green,I hurriedly stepped off the curb to cross the street to get a closer look.
No sooner than I did, the strong hand of my weightlifting Navy buddy snatched me by the collarand violently yanked me back off my feet as a little Fiat going about 60 miles an hour ran thelight and clipped the curb - my flailing shoe lightly brushing aside view mirror as the car raced by.
My friend 'Rack' scolded me saying, “They don’t obey traffic lights down here son! When no one’s coming they GO!” I certainly would have been killed if my shipmate had notliterally had my back.
I didn’t see the danger coming, and likewise in our lives God often delivers us fromdangers we never saw coming. Years Ago I Knew A Strong Sister In Christ That Had A Simple But Effective Way To Deal With Problems

Years ago I knew a strong sister in Christ that had a simple but effective way to deal with problems she was going through.

On her kitchen bulletin board, she pinned up a small brown paper bag, and on it it simply said 'THE GOD BAG'

Curious I asked her “What’s that for?” and she said “Whenever I have a problem, I write it down on a piece of paper, throw it into THE GOD BAG and say to myself and to the Lord, 'OK Lord, that problem is yours! And I know you’ll provide a means or way to solve it!'”

As today’s scripture reminds us, we need to cast (i.e. place) all our cares upon the Lord, and not carry them alone because He indeed does care for us! While life can be really hard at times, the Bible says that Christ will stand by our side and help as we plow along the field of life (Matthew 11:29) as He also said:

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:34

Friend, when you need assistance, don’t go it alone. Cast your problem into THE GOD BAG!

God Bless Your Day
