there is probably going to be a big spike in FNAF content from twitter and tumblr since the movie got released, so I wanted to ask you if the animatronics now officially count as puppet actors? and of course I won't say spoilers for the movie. hope nobody else here does either if you're at all interested in it

Hell yeah they count as puppets and since they played kids in the movie, I thought it would be funny to just be these giant puppet children

And as children, Wally does his best to be welcoming even if he’s terrified

Someway, somehow, Y/n managed to find a way to return to their world, saying their goodbyes to the neighbors. Hoping to see them again.

Now back to their normal size and normal life, they feel lonely and desolate, always looking at any screens they have in their house/apartment, waiting for something to happen..

As they wore the knitted sweaters and scarfs they brought from the neighborhood that Wally made for them, holding it close as it reminded them of his kindness. Hoping to see them, to see him again.

Oh how the regret of leaving weighed them down.

Few months passed since they’ve returned to the real world, they were sleeping peacefully in their bed, blissfully dreaming, as the sounds of muffled ambient sounds were heard outside of their house/apartment.

Cars passing by or the gentle winds blowing in the air as it glides through trees, as the moonlight shined through their curtains, as the dimmed down light covered their sleeping form.

Suddenly loud sounds of many things in the living room crashed and bashed, sounds of items breaking and being moved, which startled Y/n wide awake.

Quickly getting up from their bed, tossing the covered right off of them in a flash, and dashing out of their room to their dark living room.

Trying to search for the light switch in the dark, they didn’t see the large pair of eyes that watched them struggled.

Y/n finally found the light switch and turned it on, to reveal a large familiar puppet that took up their entire living room space, the puppet having to be in a almost balled up position, as their size moved, knocked, and broke many objects, some objects probably under the puppet, as their pompadour was bumped against the ceiling fan, almost detracting it from its place.

As Y/n’s flat screen tv was barely handing on for dear life on the tv stand, as the wires were holding it from falling and breaking.

Y/n stood in shock as they immediately recognized Wally who was 5 times (or more) the size compared to them, not as big when Y/n last saw him, not to mention his hair was messy, seemingly having a rough journey..

Finally the silence was broken by Wally who spoke.

“Hello neighbor! Long time no see!” Wally said as he did a small wave at them, as the sound of joy was lingering in his tone, finally greeting to see his favorite neighbor he hadn’t seen for so long!

“You have a nice place here!” Wally smiled in glee, as Y/n still stood in shock at the sight of Wally, still speechless..

This will certainly be interesting.

i saw in the real word au post showing what all the puppets look like, Barnaby has attachment issues. was there any sort of scenario that highlighted those issues? maybe wally having to comfort barnaby due to him freaking out over it, or? love the au, by the way! i find it fascinating! <3

There’s definitely a few scenes where their relationship is discussed in universe -

Barnaby isn’t truly trustful of humans that aren’t Fionn or Peony, since others he interacted with were scared of them and tried to hurt them. Even with Fionn’s presence when they’re out and about, he keeps him close by, even pick him up if you will, to keep Wally out of harm’s way. Barnaby will also panic if Wally disappears from his or everyone’s point of view, and Fionn has to stop him from running around a store on all fours yelling Wally’s name.

Wally, however, despite how overbearing Barnaby can be in this world, knows that all of this is from the heart - Barnaby clearly loves him, his best friend, and Wally loves him too-

Barnaby sometimes stays up late on guard, keeping an eye on everyone, especially his lil buddy, and Wally will also stay up to keep him comfortable and ease his worries
