obsessed with the concept of ghosts not as that which was once alive but is now dead yet lingers, but as that which the loss of haunts us regardless of literal death. ghost ships and buildings long lost to time and tragedy, existing now only in memory. the clothes someone wore. the way they laughed. the past self and the mistakes that you can't move on from. all of these are ghosts too.

• you find it hard to remember how it feels to be touched. did you find it comforting, before? the deep sense of longing trapped inside your ribcage is the only answer you’ll get.

• you’re hit with deja vú coupled with a feeling that something is very, very wrong. you should turn around, avoid that hallway, stop, stop, don’t GO INTO THAT ROOM, STOP—

• the numbness of your bones, cold seeping in through your pores. the inability to stay warm.

• there are people in your house — why are there people in your house? you want them out, you want them out, YOU WANT THEM OUT—

• a radio station that only plays static and feedback loops.

• you never meant to hurt anyone. you never do. regret doesn’t get rid of the blood stains on the carpet.

• a constant feeling of loss — of forgetting. you get the feeling it was something important. why can’t you remember?

I dunno I was just feeling kinda spooky, y'know, a lil ghostly decay once in a while is good for the soul.

I think I would make a great ghost. Love the aesthetic, love wailing alone in the woods, enjoy cold chills, love foggy unsettling nights, totally into moss mud and worms, wondering through graveyards at night = fun healthy hobby.
