Wild has his own share of reactions to people finding out that he just did not know a ‘basic fact’ about the world he lives in. He’s seen confusion, concern, and out right disbelief. He’s been called a funny guy, a useless moron, and brain damaged. Which… okay, sure, probably, but that guy did not know that! (That was just rude.) These reactions came for all sorts of things. Like asking what a mop was, or trying to eat Goron food in front of Hylians. He’s been laughed at for not knowing that raw gemstones were worth more than their weight in rupees, scolded for not understanding that a fence meant no trespassing, and brutally insulted for trying to pick someone else’s carrots. None of that is the point really. He’s getting sidetracked again. The point here is that Wild has seen a lot of reactions to the discovery of a knowledge gap. He has… never seen anything like this before.

So... here's where what was supposed to be one quick little moment of chaos turned into an entire chapter. Ooops!
