Has Danys Confidence Bled Over To Your Off-screen Life? I Would Like To Say Yes, But I Think My British

Has Dany’s confidence bled over to your off-screen life? I would like to say yes, but I think my British kind of sensibility takes over. Sitting at home, I do sometimes go, “What would Dany do?" Trying out that side of your personality is really wonderful. You don’t want to cross me on a date.

Gia raised her brows, as she waited out the silent conversation between Maker and Progeny. Vaguely, she wondered what it must be like to have so deep a connection with another person, little less one that stretched from century and century with no end in sight. There was a time when such a thought might have made Gia feel impossibly lonely, but not anymore. Rather, she thought of her Pack - her mass of brothers - and smiled softly. Cocking a brow at Vera, Gia smirked. "What did he say? Or, you know," she chuckled softly. "Not say? Just saying, he better be cool with it," she joked, lightly. It really was a joke in all sense, though: as if one little wolf could mess with a 1,000+ year old vampire. Most of her brothers might have warned her that no part of this could be safe, but Gia didn't think of it that way. She wasn't afraid of getting hurt. "To tearing up the town!" Rubbing her hands together excitedly, Gia grasped up the shot, making eye contact with the mesmerizing vampiress and tilted her head all the way back. Bringing the glass down to hit the counter with a satisfying clink, she grinned. "Perfect! I'm ready to start my night. You?"

Gia's face lit with surprised pleasure as she laughed at his pun. That certainly wasn't the reaction she'd expected, but she was glad of it. If there was anything Gia detested, it was stiffness of spirit - something her father had always been. It relieved her to find that the Sheriff was not. "I'm quite sure of it," she responded through a grin. "If there's one thing I know about fangs, it's that they weren't meant for boredom." She wasn't especially bored in her wolf form, either; she wasn't supposed to be. She was free. Vaguely, she wondered if that's how it might feel to be a vampire in his element. "A wolf in sheep's clothing, no less," concurred Gia, tilting her head to one side, eyes twinkling. "Vera and I have struck up something of an unlikely friendship, I'll admit, but I've never had a problem with vampires. When you get down to it, we're not much different, are we?" She might have been referring to something perfectly human - Gia wasn't concerned what she was saying was about to unmask the werewolf conundrum to any human stragglers, but the other virtue of their situation was that the only ones who could hear them up there, over all the chaos, were other vampires and werewolves. "Oooh," Gia sat forward eagerly to make her order. "Just a Jack and coke, please," she said quickly. "Thanks!" Gia watched with curiosity as a young vampire trickled up and Kol interacted surrepticiously with him, soon grinning. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she also wasn't sure she should ask. She didn't want to overstep and she was quite sure there were things she wouldn't want a vamp asking her about the way wolves did things so she watched with interest, choosing to take life - as always - as it came. Still, she couldn't say she was displeased with the way Kol was now looking at her - in fact, she preferred it. Gia liked to know what she was dealing with, she liked an open countenance. "The one and only," she responded lightly. "Gia Desstrin, cast off rich girl, former human disaster, always she-wolf, and alcoholic extraordinaire," she added, happy to poke fun at herself. "And you are Kol Svansson, vampire, Viking, and Vera's Maker," she said, pleased with herself for having found three 'v's to fit into that list. Gia she shrugged, inviting him to share or not as he pleased.

Gia was about to go on a tirade, to answer every point he made, but when he got to end, everything was momentarily wiped from her mind. Gaping at him, Gia looked so excited, she might have just won a prize. "Wait, wait, wait, what? Ohhhh my God, if you are pulling my leg, I'm soooo gonna rip your head off! Are you for real?" she demanded. Waving her hands, she paused. "No, no, sorry. I can see you are. Ohhh my God! So what does this mean? Are you made up? Are you friends? Are you...together???" Gia's eyes were wide as she scooted forward, literally sitting on the edge of her seat as she leaned on the table as if getting closer would allow his words to reach her sooner. "Please don't tell me it's some undefined something, you know how disappointed I will be," she teased, restraining herself as she tilted her head indulgently and remembered to sit back in her seat. It was his life and Gia wasn't going to meddle...well, at least she wasn't going to force anything. But just then she realized she was acting like an overly involved mother who was weirdly excited to hear her son had gotten laid. Frowning at herself, she cleared her throat. "Hell, yeah! I bet she did!" she laughed, slinging an arm across the back of her seat as she leaned forward again. "Every girl wants to feel a little wolf in her," she joked, winking. Exhaling, she nodded a little more sedately. "You're probably right," she mused when he mentioned not cutting people out, entirely. She wondered, from time to time, if she should go back and try to make things work with her family...but she reminded herself that they'd abjured her and not the other way around. Clearing her throat, she shook her head and returned to the matter at hand. "I'm at least glad to hear that you two are, um, involved in each other's lives again," she added with a broad smirk.

Gia was grateful, in that moment, that she had good hearing or she felt she might not have noticed Brett in the corner, her voice small and flat. Shutting the door carefully, Gia cleared her throat, brushed a lock of hair behind her left ear and tried to think. She had never seen the lively, energetic Brett Barr in this state. Her guy clenched. Carrying a chair over to scoot beside Brett, Gia didn’t try to take her defense away, but looked at the computer screen whose faint light cast a sickly glow. “Hadn’t seen you in awhile,” Gia answered her question. “Thought I’d stop by, check in.” She shrugged. “Make sure everything’s ok.” That didn’t appear to be what she’d found, to her dismay, but Gia thought easing into it might be best. She remembered her own lowest moments far too vividly and she’d hardly wanted it thrown in her face. “I brought some lunch,” she volunteered, holding up some tins of take-out. “Thought you might be hungry. It’s a little bit of everything, so whatever you want, dig in!” She smiled brightly, trying in vain not to let her worry show.
