Hey! This is a liiittle different from my usual posts, but if you didn't know, in one of Davis' (The Invisible Davis, or the VA for Sun and Eclipse if you were unaware) latest streams, he said to make some noise on social media platforms (Youtube, X/Twitter, Tumblr, ect,.).

If you weren't caught up, basically The Lunar and Earth show was terminated by Youtube for scam allegations, supposedly. They never did anyrhing that they were accused of; it was a false termination.

They believe that it might've been the knockoff Temu Lunar plush that made it seem like they were scamming people.

Make some noise, use tags like #BRINGLUNARANDEARTHSHOWBACK and #BRINGLAESBACK and spread the word!

Many of you probably don't know about this because most of this fandom are children or teenagers who I want to believe have been raised with good values of respect and kindness.

But there is a pretty dirty trend in many fandoms around the world where someone who hates something, say a character, a ship, a group, etc., creates a multi-account to pretend to be a fan of that thing they hate, behaving in the worst way possible in public and thus dirtying the image of that group of the fandom that they hate so much.

I don't doubt that this also happens in this fandom, simply because someone who harasses and threatens you with horrible words and images or videos wouldn't go around shouting their "side" if they really felt true appreciation for that which they claim to defend

Many Of You Probably Don't Know About This Because Most Of This Fandom Are Children Or Teenagers Who

I find this to be extremely important for people to know, when people do things like this it can help make people agree that a certain group are worse then they are and that's really not cool!

People know that the whole "don't portray [harmful action] because viewers might recreate it" thing is a rule for children's shows right? It's supposed to be shit like "don't show peppa pig playing with fire so we don't get sued if a kid watches it and burns their house down." Not like, fanfiction for adults.

SO.....

The Devil-from-the-bible came around to hassle Solar for an owed debt today since he came back from the dead. And then found out that Solar didn't owe anything because of a technicality in the way Eclipse rebuilt him. [Eclipse effectively cut his soul in half and gave part of it to Solar.]

So now the question SHOULD be- is the contract with Puppet null and void because it should have been co-signed by Solar?

I feel like people that make sweeping statements like 'all shippers are bad' or 'people that try to force only family bad' are both so in the wrong.

If you can't see that a group can consist of people of all flavours

'but shippers do __'

'none shippers can't see that this is just a au off __'

Not all of them. Invalid.

The SECOND you are making camps you have lost. Fights are starting whenever you are right and wrong.

Easy example, the gore shit being send.

It's horrible. It shouldn't happen. The fact that it did. And is happening is horrendous.

But some people seem to act like all shippers. No matter what condone it? And like...are you crazy?! Do you really think that?

Most people don't condone that shit. Would be horrified if they heard if. But people being so divided in their own little corners cause they are afraid of insults won't let this info pass between groups.

So people can't act on it.

Besides I have been in fandom for most of my life. The people that do this shit. Usually don't belong to either 'group'

(being into family stuff, a shipper, ect ect)

They just say they do to make you hate that group you dislike more! Especially since similar kind of things happening on both sides.

Maybe one more then the other. And that doesn't make it right. But don't condone a group when to me. It seems to be clearly trolls (wrong words but still)

Trying to put this fandom more against each other.

(Please be safe. Most people are nice. And don't want this shit happening to you. Even if you are totally disagreeing on everything else But in a fandom of 1 million subscriber show. 1% will always be terrible just for the fun of it and start drama cause they like it. And that 1% is still a high number of 10.000 that COULD be that. Just something to keep in mind)

The Three Laws of Fandom

If you wish to take part in any fandom, you need to accept and respect these three laws.

If you aren’t able to do that, then you need to realise that your actions are making fandom unsafe for creators. That you are stifling creativity.

Like vaccination, fandom only works if everyone respects these rules. Creators need to be free to make their fanart, fanfics and all other content without fear of being harassed or concern-trolled for their creative choices, no matter whether you happen to like that content or not.

The First Law of Fandom

Don’t Like; Don’t Read (DL;DR)

It is up to you what you see online. It is not anyone else’s place to tell you what you should or should not consume in terms of content; it is not up to anyone else to police the internet so that you do not see things you do not like. At the same time, it is not up to YOU to police fandom to protect yourself or anyone else, real or hypothetical.

There are tools out there to help protect you if you have triggers or squicks. Learn to use them, and to take care of your own mental health. If you are consuming fan-made content and you find that you are disliking it - STOP.

The Second Law of Fandom

Your Kink Is Not My Kink (YKINMK)

Simply put, this means that everyone likes different things. It’s not up to you to determine what creators are allowed to create. It’s not up to you to police fandom.

If you don’t like something, you can post meta about it or create contrarian content yourself, seek to convert other fans to your way of thinking.

But you have no right to say to any creator “I do not like this, therefore you should not create it. Nobody should like this. It should not exist.”

It’s not up to you to decide what other people are allowed to like or not like, to create or not to create. That’s censorship. Don’t do it.

The Third Law of Fandom

Ship And Let Ship (SALS)

Much (though not all) fandom is about shipping. There are as many possible ships as there are fans, maybe more. You may have an OTP (One True Pairing), you may have a NOTP, that pairing that makes you want to barf at the very thought of its existence.

It’s not up to you to police ships or to determine what other people are allowed to ship. Just because you find that one particular ship problematic or disgusting, does not mean that other people are not allowed to explore its possibilities in their fanworks.

You are free to create contrarian content, to write meta about why a particular ship is repulsive, to discuss it endlessly on your private blog with like-minded persons.

It is not appropriate to harass creators about their ships, it is not appropriate to demand they do not create any more fanworks about those ships, or that they create fanwork only in a manner that you deem appropriate.

These three laws add up to the following:

You are not paying for fanworks content, and you have no rights to it other than to choose to consume it, or not consume it. If you do choose to consume it, do not then attack the creator if it wasn’t to your taste. That’s the height of bad manners.

Be courteous in fandom. It makes the whole experience better for all of us.

America has a weird relationship with cults where they’re terrified of small cults (or organizations they think are cults) but completely normalized massive cults that hurt many more people (eg: LDS Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Amish, Scientology, most Megachurches)

no but how much audacity and sheer entitlement do you have to have to tell people they need to stop posting their darkfic and porn fic and any other fic you don’t like to ao3 so you can have a safe space when ao3 was literally created as a safe space for writers to post their content without fear of it being randomly wiped out by pro-censorship assholes with an agenda like what has happened to plenty of other fic archives before?

“but a lot of us see ao3 as a safe space to get away from that kind of nasty content” - lol you can see the middle of a busy interstate as a safe space all you want too but that doesn’t mean that you get to walk into the road and scream at all the cars going by that they’re the ones infringing on your safe space either

ao3 is not, has never been, and will never be a site meant for nothing but children’s stories. you can “see it” like that as much as you want but there’s a difference between fiction and reality and that view of what ao3 is like is as fictional as the stories posted on it.

Lunar: So now it’s me and my brothers in the same room. And we all have sleeping disorders.

Lunar: I have insomnia so I was up all night. Moon has sleep apnea, this manz died three times that night.

Lunar: Solar’s a snorer. Non-stop, whole night just *inhale* *moan* the entire night.

Lunar: Sun has night terrors, he’s a screamer. I don’t know what he’s scared of because he’s the oldest. But he screams so hard and so loud, he woke up Earth in the next room over, but not himself.

Lunar: So all night all you hear is Moon making noises, Solar moaning, Sun screaming, and me just laying at the end of the bed like a dog.

Lunar: So all I heard all night, all I heard the entire night was;

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Sun: YE-AH

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Moon: *gasp*

Solar: *moan*

Sun: YE-AH

Lunar: It was terrible.
