Jack crying outside Lacie's tower like some sort of sad puppy wasn't what Oswald was expecting to see today. He could only imagine what had happened.

He walked a little closer, debating if he wanted to know what the reason was for his tears. Jack had a tendency to be dramatic...so it likely wasn't anything serious, but he should probably ask anyway.

"Jack...why are you crying?"

Oswald. Jack tries to wipe his tears away, to erase their tracks on his cheek. He has stood outside the tower for over two hours now, Lacie is still mad at him. She still has not asked him to come back. And he's more worried, even though it's just a stupid quarrel and he should not think too much, but she had said that a little time away from her would do him good.

Was she abandoning him?

I was reading about Carl Tanzler earlier on how he became obsessed with a tuberculosis patient named Elena and when she died how he dug up her grave and kept her corpse and all I could think was this sounds like something Jack would do to Lacie in a weird alternate universe
