He Realized That Denying Her Compliment Was A Bit Rude. Even If He Didn't Think He Deserved It He Should've

He realized that denying her compliment was a bit rude. Even if he didn't think he deserved it he should've just thanked her and left it at that. His thoughts about himself were irrelevant.
"Forgive me...I've never been good at accepting compliments." He didn't know if it was a self esteem issue or because he didn't like the attention, but compliments have always made him uncomfortable.

When she said something, it was not said for the mere fun and games of it, when she spoke to someone it held purpose always, with her words and she had told them the truth, the moment those golden eyes had locked right onto them, was the moment they had fallen head over heels in love for them, the moment that they knew that they were the one, the one that was needed, the one that was worth keeping while everyone else needed to be removed.
“I am not in the habit of making mistakes, you ought to learn how to take a compliment.”

In just a few months he would inherit the last one of the five black winged chains...drink its blood...drink his master's blood...and then murder his little sister. He was going to become a monster, and there wasn't anything he could do about it...
Lacie wasn't the one whose existence was sin. It was his fault she was born as a child of misfortune.
Overwhelmed by these thoughts he had went out to the garden to try and calm his mind.

It started to pour. Which wasn't surprising, there had been an overcast all day.
When he heard Jack walk up he didn't bother to look at him. He wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone at the moment.
"Just leave me alone...Jack."

Jack was on his way home from the Baskervilles. Lacie had told him it would rain, and that he should leave early. But he didn't really mind rain, and if she really wanted him to leave, he wouldn't be able to stay until now.

It's pouring down.
The summer rain kisses Jack's nose, his cheeks, glides down his throat. It's lukewarm. He can see the droplets splash against the gravel. He can hear the rain landing on the field, in the fountain, on the leaves of the bushes and trees.
He turns the corner in the garden, about to take the shortcut from behind the bushes, when he sees Oswald. Why is he here? Initially, Jack wants to shout, but something about the situation makes him... uneasy. He decides to walk up to Oswald instead.
"Oswald?"

I had a dream that I was supposed to be practicing the piano, but I ended up putting it off...even in my dreams I'm procrastinating...

I plan out all of my replies....so it's odd when I see people just winging it...
