I was inspired to make “in-universe memes” by the Miraculous Ladybug fandom, so here’s part one of “Memes that would be floating around Amun Academy in-universe”

"Oh you had a plague? Come back to us when you had a World War, brand new unconventional weapons, and a new international order."

Beware the Ides of March
Kinda weird how you say you’re against fascism yet you shut down anyone just because they share a different opinion than you. You guys are exactly what you say you hate... FASCIST! How come I have never seen any member of antifa actually sit down with someone and have a civil debate? I’ve only ever seen them yell and throw tantrums. Doesn’t look good for you guys, yikes.

Do you have any thoughts on ghoul body language? Like how someone would show submissiveness or dominance? Or maybe different ways they show affection to their young though noises kind of like cats do?
I WILL KISS YOU ON THE LIPS PLATONICALLY
Ghouls have many more social cues than even the most well researched human knows, and it’s a large part of how they interact. They may come off weird or overly aggressive to humans, but many things they would think are threats or odd tics are regular social behaviors
First theres eye contact. Unlike humans, ghouls have many more conditions about it. When they’re not close with someone, they don’t look them directly in the eyes for long, often looking off to the side or at something else completely. When they’ve known them awhile, they can look them in the eyes, but even then some are uncomfortable doing it for long. Why? Because direct prolonged eye contact between ghouls who aren’t close is a Big Threat. If a ghoul looks another ghoul in the eyes for like ten seconds, that means “I will fucking eat you alive.” Because of that they don’t really feel the urge to look at people’s eyes normally, and it feels weird looking humans in the eyes because it still feels like a threat. Powerful ghouls tend to make more eye contact in a show of dominance, sort of to say “I can threaten you and get away with it”
A sign of submission or trust is getting on their knees and leaning forward, exposing their kakuhou. Much like dogs exposing their bellies, this show of leaving such a sensitive and easy to hurt organ open is a very big show of trust. It can be demanded by someone above them or that they’re fighting to prove that they’ve surrendered, or they can do it of their own volition to ask for mercy or devote oneself to somebody
When spotting someone they like, there’s a bit of playful instinct. They can chose to ignore it or go with it, and if they go with it they can drop into a mock fighting stance, slightly hunched, knees bent, and arms in a guarding position. If the other accepts the sign, they’ll copy it, then rush into a sort of running/chasing thing. It doesn’t have a goal, just a fun greeting to someone who they like enough to mess around with
Ghouls are very touchy. They gotta touch. They need it to stay stable and crave it. Because of that, they just have the urge to touch the people they’re around who they don’t think are dangerous. It’s a mild sign of trust for a ghoul to casually brush against, put their arm around, or poke someone.
Because they need lots of touch, touching their softened and non-lethal kagune against someone is a way of asking if they can cuddle up. Like “hey it’s already out and I’m touch starved please put your entire weight on me.” Those cuddles keep them from losing their shit and many are a bit embarrassed to ask someone they’re not super close to to do it with them, so the motion helps
Ghouls will “claim” people who they want to protect, and they do that by pressing their neck against them while hugging. They have some glands by their lymph nodes that produce much of their scent, and they’ll try to spread it to them to let people know that This One Is Theirs
When ghouls are very afraid, they’ll flare their kagune back. It makes them look bigger and they’re ready to fight, but sometimes it’s not ideal. They can be mistaken for violent and aggressive when just having bad panic attacks, and scared ghouls are often targeted by CCG mistaking them as immediate threats
If a ghoul is nervous, they will hide their backs. They feel very unsafe when nervous and unable to hide their kakuhou, so they stick to walls and chairs and don’t let anyone walk behind them.
Speaking of kakuhou, it’s extremely inappropriate to show theirs. If a ghoul lets another see the spot on their back where the kakuhou is, that’s the equivalent of flashing tiddies. Some do it on purpose, but that’s a wild way of hitting on someone
In its natural state, kagune are soft and not sharp. If kagune is hardened and sharpened, that’s a signal that they’re extremely anxious or prepared to fight
Since ghoul children have a delay learning to speak, they rely entirely on noises and gestures for the first two or three years of their lives. Because of that, sign language is common with ghouls. Most learn a few signs as little kids since they just start being able to form words at 2, and they continue to use them. It’s normal for a ghoul to replace a word with a sign mid conversation
They purr! Some can do it on command, but most only do it when feeling very relaxed and calm. For a ghoul to purr in the same room as someone they’d have to feel completely safe with them. In any type of relationship between ghouls, the first time they hear the other purr is a milestone
