"BABE! BABY! GUESS WHAT??" you hear your manchild boyfriend call out to you from his spot on the couch.

"What?"

"Apparently, that one cafe gives out free treats when it's a customer's birthday or someone proposes! You know what I'm thinking, right?" he looks over the couch at you like a child.

"We go on your birthday and fake a proposal?" you ask unamused. He does this on everyone's birthday, proposing to you any chance he can get.

"It's called preparing for the future?? Duhhh!" he says, every time you question the idea.

"Oh my goodness, you read my mind! Aren't we so similar?? Great minds really do think alike." he giggles. "So, bring that one ring we use and dress in your prettiest, most extravagant, most beautiful, most amazing, jaw-dropping, show-stopping, breathtaking dress."

"...okay," you respond, already used to what he would say.

"You ready to get married, baby?" Satoru teases, taking your hand in his.

"Yep."

"Then let's go!!" He drags you along, finding a table by the window.

After you finish eating your food, Satoru gets out of his seat and onto one knee.

"(Y/N), for the past 22 years, you've made me the happiest person alive. I really, truly do love you. And I would want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, what I'm saying is... Will you marry me?"

"YES!" you exclaim, jumping out of your seat and into his arms, hugging him close. When you pull away, he slips the ugliest plastic wedding ring ever created onto your finger, and you have to pretend to be in awe of its beauty.

An employee smiles as she brings out a cake, saying "congratulations" on top. "Ah, it's also my birthday, do you guys do anything for that?" Satoru asks, as if he doesn't already know.

"Oh, we do actually. I'll bring out the cake, that one and this are both free, by the way."

"Thank you so much."

After you pay for your meal and leave, you look at your ring. "This is so ugly."

"WHAT??"

"What?"

"I JUST PROPOSED, WHAT THE FUCK?? HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?"

"It wasn't even a real proposal?? And we haven't been together for 22 years?"

"Ugh, how dare you... I thought I meant something to you." he sulks. However, his pout quickly disappears as he hears your laughter.

And he smiles to himself, knowing next year he'll propose with a diamond ring.

a/n: hello!! tysm for the request! sorry it took a while, i got really busy :( anways, lmk how this is! (did ya notice i used a cat header teehee teehee)

School has ended for the day. You carry your umbrella over your head as you walk down an alleyway to get home. The rain is pouring and before you are able to turn the corner, you hear a faint sound.

“Meowww.”

You turn around at the sound and see a light grey cat with blue eyes. You stare at it for a bit, admiring it as it stares right back. “Hi, kitty! What are you doing?”

“Meowww.”

“Oh yeah, I so get that,” you reply, giggling as you crouch down, reaching your hand to pet the cat. Before it makes contact, you hear footsteps as someone makes their way to the alleyway. It’s Teddy Jin. You see him holding a bottle of milk, for the cat, you assume. A faint blush coats his cheeks as he realizes you’ve spotted him. He snaps, “What are you doing?”

“Uhm, I’m petting… the cat?” you reply, slowly.

Now, Teddy is just embarrassed that you caught him buying milk for a cat. He’s known for being a ruthless bully, after all. So, like any embarrassed teenage boy, he’s rude. “Can’t you see it backing away from you?” he raises his voice, “Obviously, it doesn’t like you. Stop bothering it and get lost.”

You flinch a bit when you hear his rough tone and take a look at the kitten. Surely enough, it’s cowered away from you, backing up into its cardboard box. “Oh..” With that, you get up and walk away, shoulders slouched and looking at your feet, your smile wiped away in an instant.

‘Why the fuck did I say that? What is wrong with me?!’ Teddy thinks, beating himself up over the conversation. Sighing, he crouches down to feed the cat some milk. To his surprise, the cat has a disapproving look on its face (as far as he could tell), and refuses to drink the milk from him. Teddy pours the milk into a bowl nearby and tries to pet the cat. It hisses at him and in defeat, he walks back home.

After that encounter, you purposefully avoid going through that alleyway, in fear of encountering Teddy Jin again. However, you know that Teddy’s class has cleaning duty today. Whether he actually stays back to clean or not is unbeknownst to you however, you want to take the chance to see the cat again. Teddy Jin doesn’t seem like the kind to care for stray kittens, so what if he hurts it?

You near the cardboard box the kitten is in and crouch down.

“Hey, cat…” you begin. “Sorry for scaring you the other day.. I didn’t know you didn’t want to be touched. I’m sorry..”

“Do you forgive me?” You reach a hand out for the kitten to rub its head against.

You hear a voice behind you,

“It says yes.”

You turn your head to find Teddy Jin standing there again, a slight blush coating his cheeks.

“Oh- uhm.. I didn’t.. I was just-” you stutter, unable to form a sentence. How do you explain to some bully from your school that you were apologizing to a cat?

“It likes you. I named it Co..”

“Co?… like ‘Coke’, the drink?” He nods his head and crouches down next to you, feeding the cat. “I’m gonna adopt it. If you want, I could send you pictures from time to time?”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“Uhm, here.” You exchange phone numbers, “Well, I better head home. Let me know when you adopt her.” You wave to Teddy and walk off.

From then on, Teddy always sends you a picture of Co when he arrives home. “You know, it’s only because of you I got to talk to her.” The cat purrs as he rubs her head.

“I guess I owe ya, Co.”

"stop doing that to me, baby boy."

suguru's eyes never waver from his little son's, dark irises staring into another pair of dark irises.

"what's he doing now?" you ask dully, lying down on the couch and scrolling through your phone. this happens pretty much every day, but you'd never expect that this was happening today.

suguru sniffs. "he's scrunching his nose up at me."

"oh?" you sit up suddenly, looking at the barely-four-month-old baby perched on suguru's lap comfortably, pudgy hands reaching out for you just as he hears the familiar tone of your voice. "that's cute."

"that's not cute! it's ... uncomfortable."

the raven-haired baby looks up at his dad, before bursting into tears at the strained sound of suguru's voice. you sigh, walking right over to pick the baby up and bounce him slightly in your arms.

"you know, you scrunch your nose up a ton, too," you sigh, your voice battling against the loud crying of the baby. "there, there, kiddo."

"i do not." suguru sulks.

"it's not that he doesn't like you, you know." the baby begins to calm down, and you tickle his stomach, making the pudgy kid laugh as loud as he had just cried. "he's just trying to copy his papa. because ... i guess ... he just loves you that much."

"do you love me that much, baby boy?" suguru pokes the baby boy's rosy cheek, and he giggles. you take that as your cue to put your child to bed, seeing as he's already beginning to yawn.

"he needs his sleep now. meet you in the bedroom, sugu."

"s-shit-" suguru chokes out, though not in laughter, as he pivots his hips closer to yours, burying him even deeper inside of you. "feel so good, squeezin' me like that, ahhh-"

you plant crescents on his skin, red and obviously sort of painful, throwing your head back. suguru takes this as his chance to place a hand on the back of your head, just to support it, while harshly whispering (as to not wake the baby) "'m gonna-"

a cry echoes from the room next to yours, and you're quick to get yourself out of bed, pulling on your clothes messily, while the aching feeling in suguru slowly fades away, curses appearing and disappearing under his breath.

"fuck that cockblocker," is only one of them that you hear.

suguru, despite you being out of bed first, is the quicker one to hold your baby boy in his arms, having changed just a split-second faster than you. and, though it's almost 12am in the morning, your kid has decided that this is the time to wake everyone up.

his timing was impeccable.

"don't you dare scrunch that stupid, dumb, adorable nose at me ever again," suguru exclaims, as the baby boy does just that.
