There’s a new Situation and because of this Situation I can’t even tag anyone to spread the word. I was recently informed that as of about 18 hrs ago at this point (Jan 1st, 1pm EST) NO NEW POSTS are showing up in ANY tag search on ANY browser/app. I’ve checked this to confirm.

Myself and many others have noticed that posts have been taking a very long time to show up in tags these past fews days (my last post took about 5 hrs). Yesterday around 2pm EST staff reported they were aware of the issue and were working on a fix. This new development appears to have started around 7pm EST, which leads me to believe it’s a result of the “fix” that’s currently in progress. Unfortunately this has made the already bad situation impossibly worse in the meantime.

I have no idea how long this will be an issue but you may want to hold off on posting any new content until it’s sorted out.

If you’re trying to decide whether or not to write that self-indulgent fic that only you will like?

If you’re trying to decide whether you should read that favourite fic for the 17,000th time even though you have the whole thing memorized?

If you’ve never read/written fanfic before, but you think you want to try it?

Dear Fanfic writers, I don’t care.

I don’t care if you’ve never written before or if you’ve written hundreds of fics.

I don’t care if your fic is 100 chapters or just one.

I don’t care if there’s too much dialogue, or not enough.

I don’t care if your character drinks “a hot cup of coffee” or “a steaming well of carefully brewed fair trade Ethiopian single origin organic beans, contained in an antique blue willow cup with one tiny chip on the edge and mild cracking in the glaze.”

I don’t care if you use the same pronoun over and over or if you use the word “persnickety” eleven times over the course of ten pages.

I don’t care if your historical references are accurate, or if the characters speak in a way that doesn’t fit their environment.

I don’t care if your romantic pairing makes love on a bed of roses at sunset or if they bang up against the wall in a changing room at Walmart.

I don’t care if your stories are nothing but fluff, or nothing but smut.

I am going to read your fics, and I am going to enjoy the hell out of them. So please keep writing, and ignore comments from assholes. We, the readers, love you.

Unpopular opinion: A lot of gay kpop fans can be really toxic. I always see them on twitter making fun of other kpop stans that aren’t gay and projecting their sexuality onto the idols they stan. Some of them act like if the idol they stanned wasn’t gay they wouldn’t like them anymore.

i can’t say that there isn’t a part of me that doesn't agree with you (and I'm queer AF) it gives me the same vibes when stans say shit like “y/n fiction is poorly written and cringe” like...hate to break it to you but writing boy x boy doesn't automatically make your writing Nobel prize-worthy.
