Writing Tip No. 11
Writing tip no. 11
One of the easiest ways to get better at writing quickly is to write flash fiction. Flash fiction is a short story that is at most around 100 words. By limiting the amount of words you can use, you are forcing yourself to communicate the information to the audience in the most concise way as possible.
The most famous example of flash fiction: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." communicates that whoever is selling these shoes probably had a child that was stillborn.

Writing tip no. 10
Understand what parts of your story need to be explained and what doesn't.
To illustrate this,The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka would not benefit from a deep explanation of how Gregor Samsa became a bug. In fact the story is far more terrifying because of the lack of information.
On the other hand we have RWBY. The lack of information in relation to the world building makes the story far more confusing and not in a good way.
