Eddie wake up, I don't like this, Eddie wake up

Omg okay so I was just thinking how cute it would be if you were pregnant with Austin’s baby and it started kicking whenever you guys played (and/or Austin sang) Elvis music 🥹 eventually you had to be like omg pls turn it off I need rest lol but then because of that you were gonna name it Presley regardless of gender ❤️

Guardian Angel’s Voice - Austin Butler x Fem!Reader

“Mm, can I get a kick, baby? Can you say hello?” Austin mumbled against your swollen stomach.

You giggled as he turned his head and pressed an ear against your stomach. “I know you’re in there. You can’t hide from me.”

Butterflies erupted within your stomach as Austin spoke. Due to his rigorous preparations for the Elvis film, his deep, husky voice had a southern twang to it.

“Maybe he’s tired,” you suggested, reaching out to massage his scalp.

“She was just moving around five minutes ago. You said so yourself,” he replied, making you roll your eyes.

The pair of you were still arguing over the gender. You wanted a mini Austin, but he wanted a baby girl to love and protect. “Come on, honey. Your daddy just got home and he’s been waiting to greet you all day,” you coaxed, rubbing your hand over your belly, “Don’t you wanna hear about his day of being Elvis Presley?”

After another few minutes of silence, Austin sighed before sitting up. “It’s alright. It’s late, anyway. You need to get some rest and I need to start preparing for tomorrow’s scene.”

You released a breath. “Alright, but don’t hold back tonight. I promise you won’t wake me if you need to play some music or anything. And, anyways, I like hearing you rehearse.”

He chuckled, reaching his hands out to help you up. “Yeah, yeah. You get some rest, though. Promise me.”

He raised his eyebrows at you as you stuck out your pinkie. “Pinkie promise.” Austin wrapped his larger pinkie around yours before standing you up.

An Elvis record was already playing on the vinyl when the two of you reached the bedroom. “Can’t Help Falling In Love” softly echoed around the large room as a smile came to your face. Looking up at Austin, you noticed that he was already looking down at you. He placed his large hand over your stomach.

“My loves,” he cooed, placing a kiss on your forehead before bending down, “Both of you.”

Right as he placed a kiss on your stomach, your baby sent out one strong kick. You gasped as his jaw dropped. He grabbed your stomach with both hands before looking up at you with an electrified gaze.

“Did you see that?” he asked eagerly.

“I felt that!” you replied, voice laced with excitement.

Austin was ecstatic. He’d finally received another subtle act of affection from his baby. “I’m gonna turn the music down so she can hear me better,” he said, running over to the record player.

Charmed by his excitement, you giggled before making your way over to the bed. As you sat down, Austin kneeled in front of the edge of the bed. Taking both hands, he cupped your stomach.

“I’m right here, baby,” he spoke gently, “and I love you so much.”

However, he received nothing in response. He frowned before looking up at you. You mirrored his expression. “I don’t get it,” you began, “She just kicked.”

“She?” Austin’s expression morphed into a smirk. “I thought it was a he.”

Realizing your mistake, you scoffed. “Whatever. They are very much awake right now. I don’t understand why they aren’t responding to your voice now.”

Austin’s brows furrowed as he took a moment to think. Then, he glanced back at the record player before standing up.

“Hmm,” he hummed, “I wonder . . .”

He walked the short distance back to the record player and turned the music back up. Once again, Elvis’s voice bounced off of the dimly-lit bedroom’s walls. As he walked back over, you felt another kick.

Eyes wide, you gestured him back over, frantically waving your hand. He raised his brows before jumping to his knees and sliding over to you. “She kick?” he asked.

You nodded. “Mhm. As soon as the music started playing again.”

Austin placed his hand over your stomach. Within a few seconds, he felt a tiny foot kick his palm. A smile grew on his face. “There she is.”

“So, she likes Elvis,” you inferred, making him look up at you.

He chuckled, shaking his head before looking back at your stomach. “Of course she does.”

“It’s like he’s the guardian angel voice that’s helping us communicate with her,” you replied, “You know . . . Presley would be a cute name for a boy . . . or girl.”

“So . . . can we agree it’s a girl?” Austin asked, eyeing you hopefully.

“I will love whatever gender they turn out to be, but yes, I think Presley sounds really cute for a little girl.”

Austin leaned back, pumping his fists in the air. “Yes!” he exclaimed before leaning forward to address your stomach, “You hear that, Presley? Mommy’s finally on board.”

The baby kicked again, making you both laugh.

For the next two weeks, Austin made sure to play an Elvis record whenever he wanted to talk to Presley. It wasn’t difficult, given that he was always playing Elvis’s music for his role. Whenever you were in the room while he was prepping, your baby was really active.

One night, you were trying to get some rest, but Austin was rehearsing and had Elvis’s music playing. Presley wouldn’t stop moving.

“Austin?” you groaned, making him turn from his chaotic wall of Elvis pictures.

“Hm?” he hummed.

“Can you turn that music down? Presley won’t go to sleep.”

Austin laughed, tilting his head back before eyeing you affectionately. “Am I keeping her up?”

“Very much so,” you groaned, wincing as she kicked again.

“Sorry, baby,” he apologized, walking over to the bed, “and you, my darlin’, need to let your mother rest. Capeesh?”

He placed his hand on your stomach and Presley kicked it. You sighed as he laughed, pressing his face against your belly. “That better mean yes, young lady,” he replied.
