a/n: honestly should i just make this a series?? i think i could figure out a way to continue to build it. idk, let me know! Also, my requests are open! send me something!
update! i did make this a series lol, part three is here

âSheâs coming right?â
âWhat time did you tell her?â
âYou think we should clean up a bit? Itâs a shithole in here.â
âFuck, sheâs gonna hate it. I know it. Not even married yet and weâve gotten divorced.â
The hellfire club was in shambles, running and zooming around the school basement preparing for your big arrival. Eddieâs heart raced as the clock ticked on, his fingers twitching at his sides to see you again. Youâd left a sweet taste in his mouth all day long, his mind could not leave your gentle, smiling face. He knew he was falling head over heals, but could you blame him? He wasnât used to any woman being interested in what he said, nor did they ever want to hang out with him. This was new, and he was going insane.
âJesus, why am I dusting!â Mike coughed. âI donât think sheâs gonna care if thereâs dust, Eddie. I mean, youâve got Gareth and Jeff sweeping!â
âShut up, Wheeler,â Eddie snapped his fingers, standing on the dnd table as he tampered with the light fixture. âWe needed to clean up anyways, this just gave us an excuse.â
âI picked her some flowers!â Dustin smiled tooth-fully, bringing some wild flowers out of his back back.
âWhat! No!â Eddie jumped off the table, his feet smacking against the floor. âSheâs mine, Henderson. I saw her first.â
âTechnically, I did.â Mike crossed his arms, earning a synchronized âshut upâ.
âGive me those!â
âFuck no! Go pick some yourself, I think I saw some grass outside-â
Your knock sounded loudly throughout the room, causing flinches and everyone to shut the hell up. Dustin hurriedly placed the flowers on the table behind him, stepping forward to open the door, but he was snatched back by the collar as Eddie yanked him backwards.
âMine, Henderson.â He whispered, giving the freshman a death glare. He fixed his hair anxiously, straightening his wrinkled shirt as he looked about the room. âLook presentable.â He ordered, and they blindly straightened their posture.
He took a deep breath, begging a god he didnât believe in to get him through the night. He opened the door, his face melting into a smirk at the sight of you. âLooks like Barbie showed.â He said over his shoulder, and you giggled under his stare.
âThink I wasnât going to show?â You asked, making your way into the room as he shut the door behind you.
âDonât take it personally, kiddo,â He took your arm in his to give you the grand tour, and you blushed awkwardly with a sly grin. âYou just keep blowing our minds every chance you get. Anyways! You remember Dustin.â He gestured with his other hand, smirking a villainous glare at the boy as he held your arm.
âYes, hi! How are you?â You smiled, tilting your head.
âHey, uh,â He cleared his throat, reaching behind him to grab the flowers. Eddieâs eyes went wide. âI actually picked-â
âI picked these for you.â Eddie snatched the flowers out of his hand, petals dropping to the floor. âHere. Hope you like- well, whatever these are.â
You chuckled at their interaction, observing the messy picked flowers in hand. âThank you.â You looked to both of them, dropping Eddieâs arm as you turned around. âSo this is the game?â Your eyes danced amongst the pieces, your hands ghosting over the dice and other figures.
Perhaps you were crazy, showing up for some supposed âdemon summoningâ board game with a bunch of people you didnât know. But what did you have to loose? Besides, it had been many years since you felt comfortable with a group like this. Besides, you felt more at home with the outcasts than with anyone else. They were obviously flirty, you knew that from the get-go, but they were harmless. And you liked Eddie. He was handsome and funny, had a charismatic energy about him that made you feel welcomed. You didnât feel that often.
Your presence stuck out in the room, and while you were focused on the game pieces, everyone was staring at you, their mouths hanging open as you brought the 20 sided dice up to your eyes. Eddie nearly fainted at the sight. Never once, had a girl touched those pieces. Never once, had a girl played dnd with him before. Oddly enough, it felt like a date to him.
You had on skinny jeans, a baby pink, long sleeve shirt that clung your body. Your hair was let loose, curls flowing down your back with a pink bow, resting on the back of your head. You had on little pearl earrings, a singular silver ring that had your birthstone on it. Emerald. August. Your white converse were spick and span clean, unlike everyone elseâs.
âIs this the-â You went to ask again, but froze when you seen everyoneâs eyes on you. You clamped your mouth shut, looking at Eddie awkwardly.
âSorry,â Eddie scratched the back of his head. âHere, we should- letâs get started then!â He announced, embarrassed that he was caught staring.
âHey,â Dustin poked your shoulder, whispering quietly as everyone got in their seats. âYou can sit by me if you want.â
âActually, Henderson,â Eddie nearly shouted over his sheep, standing at the head of the table. âSheâs sitting on the throne tonight.â He smiled widely, his teeth reflecting off the light as he patted the throne, scooting out the chair.
Everyone gasped at the sight. No one sat in that chair besides him.
He took your hand to help you into the seat, quickly looking over your delicate ring. His looked a lot bigger. It was weird for everyone to see Eddie sitting beside you, in just a regular chair, but you, however, looked spectacular.
âWow,â You giggled, stretching your hands out in front of you. âAll I need is a crown.â
They chorused your laughter like obedient followers. You were the ruler now. Eddieâs little dungeon master in training. âSo,â You looked to him. âLetâs play.â
His lips curled into a slow smirk. Yeah, he was definitely in love.
âą
You were there for almost five hours, and sleep deprivation creeped in, though you didnât care. Dungeons and Dragons was the coolest game youâd played since twister, and that was years ago. You had gotten so into it, and everyone cheered you on as you got your feet wet into the game.
It was hard to learn at first, but they walked you through every step and made sure you understood everything. Eddie practically held your hand throughout the entire game, like a parent worried their toddler wouldnât survive without their grip. It shocked him how easily you were able to catch on, and even though you made a mistake here and there, or mispronounced something, he wouldnât correct you.
It had gotten to the point where you were subconsciously flirting with him, though you werenât even really aware of it. He just made you so comfortable, and for once in your life, you didnât feel the need to fake having a good time. Your life was hard, harder than others, sometimes. You felt guilty for thinking that, because you knew you were lucky to have the family you did. Still, even with the family you had, you felt incredibly lonely. Tonight you didnât though.
âDo you have a way to get home?â Eddie glanced up, finishing putting away the game pieces. Everyone had pretty much left, besides you two. You insisted on staying and helping clean up, so that meant that he was going to stay. Dustin didnât even try to get a word in, it was obvious Eddie wasnât going to budge. He politely said goodbye, awkwardly patting your shoulder and sending knives to his buddy. Or, ex buddy.
âI drove.â You smiled, pushing in chairs. âI donât live very far away.â
He nodded, mouth opening and closing as he thought about what to say. âAre you- well, you plan on sitting with us tomorrow?â
âOh,â You gulped, blushing. âIâd like to, if thatâs okay.â
âYeah, yeah.â He rushed, messing with his hair. âI like you. I mean, we like you. The kids and I. Youâre pretty. Fun, youâre pretty fun!â He rambled, turning as he shoved the game box into a drawer.
You kept in your laugh, lips pursing together. âOkay.â You nodded, brushing off your hands. âCool.â
You looked around for anymore trash, hoping to stay longer. âI guess I should go.â You grabbed your back, slinging it over your shoulder.
âOkay.â He walked over to the door, opening it for you. You stopped in front of him, and he smiled awkwardly. âThank you for tonight.â You said genuinely, ignoring the urge to smile like an idiot. âI mean it, I had a lot of fun. You think I could play again sometime?â
His heart leaped, eyes growing into heart shapes like a damn cartoon character. âYeah! Of course, sure. Iâll even get you a crown for next time.â He chuckled while you did the same.
You didnât want to leave, and he didnât want you too, either. You knew youâd die of embarrassment later, but you stepped closer, wrapping an arm around his shoulders in an awkward, yet sweet hug.
âOh,â He muttered softly, stiffening at the contact. He brought up a hand to pat your back, pursing his lips.
You pulled away and smiled. âIâll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Eddie.â
âGoodnight.â He smiled, closing the door behind you. He listened to the sound of your shoes until he couldnât anymore, and he sighed loudly and dramatically.
âYup, thatâs my wife.â

the cutest boy at the rodeo
ok yknow what i wish we got to see in the finale? flashbacks of eddie and chrissyâs interactions over the years. because you know my boy remembered all of them.
the iconic âchrissy, this is for youâ and then weâre whisked into a memory of the two of them talking at the talent show, maybe one giving a pep talk to the other?
the next memory would be eddieâs eighth grade graduation, and we see a sixth grade chrissy sitting with a grin in the audience, she has a front tooth missing and a pink ribbon in her hair and thereâs soft music playing over the scene, cut short by a teacherâs voice shouting âedward munson!â
this segways into the next memory, eddie sitting in pe class his junior year, staring out the window at the football field, where chrissy is at cheer practice. sheâs on top of a pyramid, and as soon as she does a high kick, his attention is snapped to the annoyed looking gym teacher whoâs been calling his name for the past five minutes, he shakes his head and joins his class to run laps.
after this a montage of lunch periods cross the screen, focused in on pretty, bright chrissy cunningham as she chats with the other cheerleaders, sheâs without her missing teeth and pink ribbon, but just as radiant as he thought she was back then. every day she has a new outfit, matched with the same warm smile as always
chrissyâs voice starts to echo, a cacophony of greetings and goodbyes, with the growing sound of his name coming up behind it before we see chrissy approach him, now a junior, and her clear voice breaks the white noise it seems like his brain created, itâs just a simple âhiâ but it clears the noise weâre hearing in his head instantly. she just asks him if he knows what the homework in one of their shared classes was, and he stutters out that he does, trying not to come of as the freak heâs sure she sees him as, though her genuine, kind smile would say otherwise.
after he gives her the synopsis on the homework, jason calls for chrissy and she thanks eddie quickly, offering an apologetic smile before she runs over to him, quick to settle jasonâs demands and calm him down about why she was speaking to eddie in the first place. we get a close up of jasonâs glare as eddie retreats to the rec room to set up for hellfire, breathing deeply as he watches the door for the blonde boy to appear
in the next scene, chrissy is yet again stopping him in the hall, but now she looks small and scared, eyes darting around her as she slips him a piece of paper, running off shortly after. we get a close up of the note, scrawled in loopy cursive is a note asking to buy weed, along with a request to know where to meet him. he takes a pencil from his jacket pocket and writes the location of his selling spot before sliding it into the locker he knew as chrissyâs.
then memories of chrissyâs last day from eddieâs perspective flash across the screen, ending with a shot of him sobbing over her body before sprinting from the trailer.
