If you need context for this new incarnation of blackbird, just think of it this way: previously, before the character was an angel at some point, they had a domain located in a realm of darkness, and so they had a whole workforce of shadowpeople, and they lived in a place called the black palace. this one isn't necessarily a ruler anymore, unlike a previous iteration, they just happen to be able to channel inner demons into shadow-like entities that can be controlled into fighting threats and so. and part of the things that they can channel from within, is a companion-like dream person glowing in the color pink, of which doesn't manifest into a clearer form as it would betray the dreamlike experience from which it once spawned from.
