Asmo's resentment (HC+Theory)

Asmo relationship with Mammon and Lucifer is very interesting. We know he is jealous of Mammon, but we never see at which extent.

Even if they are brothers who roast each other and enjoy partying together, I feel like Asmo holds a grudge towards Mammon, an unspoken envy, hidden inside his core he won't easily admit.

My theory is that his insecurities started to flourish once Mammon was taken under Lucifer wing. He became the insta favorite and Asmo stopped being "the jewel of heavens" to Lucifer.

The only thing that, in Asmo's head, made him Lucifer's favorite was his beauty. But when suddenly, another angel, one not so beautiful or loved but mischievous and naughty, wins Lucifer affection, he realizes there must be something wrong with him.

He lost his spot as Lucifer's favorite, but why? He is the most beautiful being in the three realms. Perhaps, he needs to be more beautiful? He became obsessed with the attention, wanting to bring it all to himself to make both Lucifer and Mammon jealous, but it only brought him apart. Isolating himself from them.

When they fell, and their sins were chosen, he won the ability to charm. He could charm any being, including Lucifer; an ability born from the desire to be his favorite. But, was this ability enough to bring him back to his spot? Once the effects wore off, Lucifer would only distance himself more. It was only a spell, a short-lived illusion and not real feelings he made him feel.

Once they fell, all his purity wore off, he would not feel guilt of resenting Mammon, he WAS prideful with his look. It couldn't be HIS fault, it HAS to be Mammon's fault. His birth, and whole existence made Asmo's useless. He wasn't Lucifer's jewel anymore. Was he the most beautiful being? Of course he HAD to be. But did he actually believe it?

Mammon was a famous model, kind and sweet demon.

But him? What was Asmo to others? The only way he knows he could be loved was by his looks, but would people remember him? Would he be remembered other than a lustful toy, with too much ego and a shitty personality. Or would his charm died with him and people will move on like Lucifer did.

He's always wondering that in secret.

In short; I think Asmo is such an interesting character, and his relationship with Mammon and Lucifer sometimes makes me think it could be the reason for his insecurities.

I wish we could see more depth of this, but perhaps is just me drawing straws to get angsty at this dork 😂
