More g/t stories with dating apps and awkward first dates please! I want mixed societies with humans and giants living together. I want the main characters to match on an app and think “ooh, you’re my person and perfect in every way”, only for them to meet in real life and realize “oh shoot there’s a huge height difference”. I want awkward to the max — The giant trying so hard to be gentle and not scary but the tiny is very taken aback and has no clue what to do. I want the giant to be so smitten, and so is the tiny but they just need a bit more time to adjust to everything. I want slow burn and trust building and all the tender steps as they fall in love with each other. I want the tiny finally allowing the giant to hold them for the first time. I want the first time they cuddle together. I want the first time they kiss. Hell, give me all the firsts!

Tell me this isn’t the sweetest, fluffiest trope you can imagine. Ugh, need more of this

Giants having to reach through windows or doors to snatch tinies up in moments of urgency..... no time to say anything, just blindly feeling around, digits bumping into and moving furniture, until fingertips find a familiar silhouette and they wrap their hand round the tiny's body and engulf them in their hold; pulling them out of there, like they weight nothing, with very little the tiny can do. Extremely good if the giant and tiny don't know each other very well and this is their first, very frightening instance of physical contact. Even better if they DO know each other well, and the tiny has become almost desensitised to how big, strong and frightening the giant is until their gargantuan hand just bursts into the room and snatches them up; and they have this sudden wave of panic because yes, they know and trust this person, but they've also just had a great reminder of how dangerous they could be.

Hands are so important in G/t, you really can’t overlook them. They’re one of the most intimate connections between a giant and tiny. They’re safety, love, closeness, and security. They can be so scary at first and require a lot of trust building before being able to safely hold a tiny. All of the little details and imperfections are eventually memorized, and they not only become a welcome respite, but one of the most intimate things to a tiny. I love hands…

And just in general, unexpected power dynamics/shifts between the giant and tiny characters! Whether a seemingly weak character is revealed to be a size shifter, or the tiny character is actually the one giving the orders and holds power over the giant characters, etc.

Morally grey characters! I'd love to see more characters in G/t stories that walk the line between being perfect angels and straight-up evil. Sympathetic motives with questionable actions?? Yes please.

Horror?? There is so much potential in G/t for terror that goes beyond fearplay. I love fearplay that gives me butterflies--give me that every day of the week. But also sometimes I wanna be TERRIFIED 💖

Sizeshifters. Just in general. I feel like there’s not enough of them out there, and when they’re implemented, it’s usually just the basic formula. Why not play around with it a bit?

What about a sizeshifter that has trauma related to their powers? Not that shifting itself is what puts them off, but due to some sort of situation, their powers almost got themself or someone else hurt, and they don’t want that scenario repeating again.

What about sizeshifting that hurts? Like bones snapping and reforming as a person grows, or their body feeling like it’s melting when they shrink? How about tying this into emotion/stress-related shifting?

What about monstrous shifting? Not just growing bigger or shrinking smaller, but adopting certain characteristics, like fangs, or claws, or other animalistic traits?

What about shifter fighting? (Because LORD, there’s not enough action at times. Sure, fluff and tame stuff is nice, but also, KAIJU BATTLE!) But also, seeing this in regular G/T stuff would be cool too.

And lastly, what about forced size changes? Be it a shrink/growth ray, some sort of potion, etc., I think it’s a neat idea to play with.

Part four of the poll story; choice B! B) Cautiously mention that while there isn’t anything here, there’s something right next door. “Umm.. my neighbor has a cat…”

You glance around the apartment, then turn back to Ralyr.  “I don’t have any pets, but my neighbor has a cat.”  His little ears twitch at the word.  “You’ll be safe from it here, though,” you add quickly.  Ralyr cracks his knuckles, smiling smugly. “It’ll want to stay safe from me by the time I’m done with it.”  A shocked laugh escapes your throat, and you shake your head admonishingly.  He finishes the last pieces of food that you offered him — thanking you again for letting him have them — and steps around you, heading further into your home.  “Do you want me to show you around?” you ask as he passes by, “Where are you going?”  “To your neighbor’s,” Ralyr answers nonchalantly.

Your eyes widen, eyebrows shooting upward.  “Don’t worry; I’ll be back soon and you can show me around then.”  You can’t help but stare at him, incredulous.  Wasn’t he joking?  “I… thought you’d want to get away from a predator.  You ran from me..”

Ralyr slows to a halt and turns to look back at you, studying you for a long moment.  “Well, you’re bigger than a cat,” he tells you jokingly.  “But I.. didn’t want to hurt you, or for you to be frightened of me afterwards.”  He rubs a hand sheepishly over the back of his head, seeing a small smile drifting onto your face.  You think that was an awfully sweet gesture, especially because he wasn’t the slightest bit frightening. In fact, he had first seemed much more frightened of you than you were of him.

“I’m paying the cat a visit to do something..  How do I explain?  I think humans call it shapeshifting?  I didn’t want you to freak out about it, but.. Nevermind.  I’ll just show you.  Are you willing to bring me to where this cat lives?”

Do you: A) Think for a moment, then ask “Are you going to hurt it?” You’re afraid whatever he plans to do will go badly for the cat, or him.

B) You nod, interested to see what’ll happen. C) “Well.. I-”  You pause, recognizing something.  “Wait, shapeshifter?  You’re a shapeshifter?”

D) Worriedly reply: “I don’t want to be blamed for any pet injuries from the neighbors.  Do you mind staying like that while you’re here?”

What’s Aedes' sleep schedule like?

Aedes is nocturnal by nature- It's easiest to prey on humans among other things in the dark/while they're sleeping. What does June absolutely need to have to fall asleep?

As hinted at in the first chapter of Bite Me, June sleeps with an open window- she needs a room cold and preferably having fresh air.

Does Sal have any hobbies?

ABSOLUTELY - That lil gremlin is always looking for new things to do/try. He loves working with his hands, crafting tools, wood working, even sewing (specifically accessories for his 8 legged ladies). A lot of his hobbies are born out of necessity for his life style (foraging, climbing, hunting, etc..) but if we're talking specifically for fun/to pass time he loves to take things apart. Lil man loves to figure out how things work and will disassemble and attempt to reassemble things he's interested in. Do not leave him unattended with valuables.

What’s Betty's favorite food?

Betty is SPOILED! She particularly likes crickets as they're more fun to hunt, but taste wise she has a bit of a sweet tooth fang and and Sal absolutely spoils her with strawberries from time to time. You know those videos of pet owners putting together those very extra meals for their pets? That is 100% Sal with Betty. He insists she prefers Rosey Maple Moths, and will pair it with a nectar source to make it "extra special/pretty" for his precious girl. He's even taken to cooking isopods/potato bugs for her as an occasional treat.

What’s something dumb Mark's embarrassed about?

Ironically enough- his height. Mark is around 5ft3 is fairly self conscious about it.

What gestures does Bram really appreciate? How do you get on their good side?

Value wise Bram deeply respects courage, specifically being able to make sacrifices for others. He's not fond of people pleasing niceties and much prefers direct and blunt communication.

Tangible gestures?

He likes food.

Feed him and it goes straight to his heart (Homeboy craves to be nurtured).

How well can Dawn bake?

Dawn is quite the baker, and cook in general. She's close with a few Mennonites (who also happen to run a local bakery) and learned a lot of her baking techniques though them. She doesn't bake sweets too often, usually making them for Holidays/special occasions, though she does make her own bread!

What’s something Tamius will never understand?

Women

Tamius doesn't see the appeal of sports, more specifically high intensity/contact sports. He understands the joys of competition, as well as being physically active, and being able to defend oneself is important- yet the thought of doing it for some self imposed sense of duty? Fun? Not out of preparation/ self preservation, but to put your body through undue strain and harm for what? the amusement of others? Baffling.

Rose is a plant hoarder. Her entire home is just filled with greenery (Which Tamius quite appreciated in terms of quick/easy hiding spots).

I have a mix between a russian and canadian accent cuz I moved to canada (like 6 years ago) and I kinda started talking with a canadian accent but I still can't pronounce words like "this" and "think", or words that end with "ie"(WHY IS THERE SO MANY?!)-- I usually just end up sounding really silly
