At Your Smallest Components, You Are Indistinguishable From A Forest Fire.
“At your smallest components, you are indistinguishable from a forest fire.”

“We are a story telling species. Other animals use tools. Other animals communicate. Every division we try to throw up to separate ourselves from our animal kindred gets knocked down, except this. Human beings have an insatiable drive to organize the world into narrative, both real and unreal. We are the only species to tell harmless lies that our audience knows are lies, in order to delight and inspire. What a heavy burden the truth. What a light gift a fabulation. A lie is a thing with feathers.”
— Cecil G Palmer, ep. 220 - A Radio Jupiter Holiday Special
I had a dream that I showed up for dnp tit and it was just a single rented out conference room in a library where Dan and Phil were sat on the long table and had everyone (like 7 people) pull up a crappy office chair. Dan just said, "We're dating." While Phil nodded thoughtfully. "That's it. You guys can chill out now," and then we all politely stood up and left the room with our heads hung in shame, each giving a little nod of acknowledgment on our way out.
I think one of my favorite things about welcome to night vale is that Cecil is constantly yapping about everything and anything, but whenever he's around Carlos, all he can say is "uh huh" in the most adoring tone ever
Anyone else ever think about the fact that every single Sunday, Father Mulcahy has to wake up, dress in his robes, gather up his holy oddities, go to the mess tent, move things around so that they vaguely resemble a church setting, hold at least two services (one for Catholics and then a second for Protestants), services where 0- maybe 5 or 6 people show up, then clean up and put it all back as he found it, collect his holy oddities, put those safely back in his tent, and be raring to go for breakfast that is now happening in that same makeshift church space???
Because I just did at 2am and it feels somehow so very important
