FIC SUMMARY: It’s said that once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, a flock of magpies form a bridge to reunite two lovers and their children for a single day. But who were those two lovers, and why were they only destined to met on this particular date for thousands of years?

Well the star of Altair was originally known as Cloud Strife, a simple mercenary who accidentally peeped in on seven mystical sisters skinny-dipping in a nearby lake; one of those sisters was the star Vega, who was known as Aerith Gainsborough. After taking the goddess’ clothing, the two fell madly in love and Aerith tells her sisters that she will remain on Gaia and marry the mercenary. However, their love was forbidden and they were banish to the opposite sides of the heavenly river. But the wrath of Jenova will never stop the two star-crossed lovers from being with one another.

“To the mortal world! Come on, it’ll only be for a day!”

It was not unheard of that the Cetra of Weaving, affectionately known as Aerith Gainsborough, was a girl very curious about the mortal world. Such a desire would mean disobeying her Mother, Jenova, the Harbinger of Heaven. One day, as expected, her wandering mind became too much for the youngest daughter to bear.
