summary: you find yourself noticing a certain good-looking man frequenting your flower shop daily, and you’re dying to get to know him.

a/n: this was loosely inspired by @hoshipills’s idea of a seungcheol mafia x florist au!!! though it isn’t implied that seungcheol is a mafia here, i still thought the idea was rly cute and wanted to expand on it :)

He’s here again.

And by ‘he’, you mean the gorgeous, almost intimidating-looking man who comes by your shop to purchase an extravagant bouquet of flowers almost daily. He’s always dressed in the darkest of colours, and today is no different as he adorns a black turtleneck with black slacks, looking very much like the grim reaper.

You usually tend to stay judgement-free when it comes to your customers, but this man in particular has been coming one too many times for it to be considered normal.

But then again, who are you to judge, right?

“Hi, again,” the man practically squeaks before clearing his throat, the tips of his ears turning slightly red, “May I get a bouquet of daisies this time, please?”

“Sure! You can take a seat here for a while, I’ll get it ready as soon as possible,” you gesture to the lounge area of your shop like it’s the first time that man has been here (it definitely isn’t), before turning to prepare the bouquet he had requested.

“Take your time,” you hear the man reply, and you smile as you get to work.

“What’s your name?” you ask a few minutes later, as the man is standing behind the counter and as you’re keying in his order on your tablet.

The man’s eyes widen, seemingly shocked at the fact that you’d started a conversation with him. “I—”

“I- I’m just asking because!” you cut him off suddenly, feeling like the shop got hotter, “Because you come here quite often, but I don’t know your name.”

What’s wrong with me? you think, mentally chastising yourself for your erratic behaviour, why are you explaining yourself?

“Seungcheol,” the man, or Seungcheol, replies after a beat, the softest of smiles resting on his face as he watches you try not to die from embarrassment.

For some reason, you’re unable to form a coherent sentence, finding yourself nodding instead as you push the bouquet of daisies on the counter towards him before holding up the card reader so Seungcheol can pay.

“What’s your favourite flower?” Seungcheol asks as he taps his card on the reader, eyes never leaving yours as he does.

You pause, mouth opening and closing like a fish before you slowly react, “Daisies. I love daisies.”

Seungcheol’s smile stretches wider, and he pushes the bouquet on the counter towards you. You blink, confused.

“For you,” Seungcheol nods towards the flowers, “Thank you for accommodating me every time I visit.”

To your surprise, he turns and leaves before you can reply.

Huh, you think, gaping at the door in confusion before turning to go back to work after a while, I’ll have to prepare some flowers to thank him tomorrow.

To your disappointment, Seungcheol doesn’t show up the next day.

And the next day, and the day after the next.

By the fifth day, you’re starting to come to terms with the very real possibility that Seungcheol isn’t coming to the shop anymore when he suddenly bursts in five minutes before the shop is due to close.

He’s panting a little, hair slightly disheveled, and you suppress the urge to reach over and fix it for him. Instead, you simply stare at his figure in front of the door, confusion written all over your face.

“Hi,” he breathes out, and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.

“Hi!” you chirp, wincing at the unnaturally high pitch of your voice, “Are you here to shop flowers again?”

“Yeah! Um, no—” Seungcheol stutters, and you try your hardest to keep a straight face, “I just wanted to apologise for rushing out like that the other day.”

You blink. “Oh! It’s okay, you must’ve been busy.”

Seungcheol chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck, and silence ensues between the two of you.

“Um!” you pipe up after a while, briskly walking behind the counter upon remembering something, “I… wanted to give you this. To thank you for the daisies the other day.”

Placing a bouquet of handpicked flowers on the counter, you slide it closer to Seungcheol and gesture for him to come forward.

“These are…” Seungcheol’s ears are visibly redder, though you can’t quite understand why. Perhaps the shop is too cold?

“Pink roses! They represent gratitude,” and admiration, but Seungcheol does not need to know that.

“T-thank you,” Seungcheol replies, a soft smile resting on his face, “I’ve never received flowers before.”

“Oh! Well,” you panic, “I hope your partner wouldn’t mind that I’m giving you these. It totally slipped my mind when I was preparing these and I’m truly sorry if I’ve overstepped!”

Seungcheol is silent for a moment, as if taking his time to process what you’d just said, before tilting his head in confusion.

“I… don’t have a partner,” he explains, looking slightly sheepish.

At this point, you want nothing more than to bury yourself somewhere and never face him again. “I’m sorry! I just thought you had one since you’d come here every day for a bouquet of flowers, but then again I shouldn’t have assumed anything, so I’m so—”

“I came here for you,” Seungcheol interrupts, and your eyes widen. “I’m sorry?”

“I’ve been coming here every day for you,” Seungcheol repeats himself, looking slightly nervous, “I walked in here by chance a few weeks ago and was so taken by you I just couldn’t help coming here every day just to see you. I thought you might find me weird, so I started buying a bouquet of flowers every day so you wouldn’t suspect anything.”

Your mouth opens and closes like a fish, Seungcheol’s words having quite literally rendered you speechless. You watch as Seungcheol’s expression gradually morphs into one of panic, having misintepreted your silence as discomfort.

“All that to say! I’m sorry if I’ve made you uncomfortable in any way, if I’ve weirded you out, I’ll be more than happy to leave and never come back again,” Seungcheol rushes to explain himself, his voice gradually getting softer, “But on the off-chance that what I’m feeling right now is mutual, would… you allow me to take you out on a date sometime?”

You smile, heart nearly beating out of your chest, “I wouldn’t be opposed to it. The date, I mean, not the part about you leaving and never coming back—”

You’re interrupted by the melodious sound of Seungcheol’s laughter, and you can’t find it in yourself to be mad about it.

“Well, then,” a soft smile rests on Seungcheol’s face, “Would you please do me the honour of giving me your number?”

thinking about showering with mingyu in the morning. the water is running down your body, but it isn't what's keeping you warm - mingyu's embrace is way hotter than the water's temperature.

"are you feeling any better?", he asks in a husky voice, hands caressing your back as he presses you against his chest.

it's such a mingyu thing to notice how you haven't slept well, and how tired your eyes look.

"no", you say, cheek squeezed against him. "the only thing that can make me feel better is staying like this for the rest of my life."

he chuckles, blinking away some of the teardrops from the shower.

"our water bill would go crazy."

mingyu likes how you laugh against him. i mean, we could even think about paying the highest water bill in the history of the universe if that meant he could hear you laugh like that nonstop.

Being Kim Mingyu's passenger princess

❤︎ Being the Kim Mingyu’s passenger princess is a privilege that has been bestowed upon you by the gods. You wonder if you saved a country in your past life because what could you ever have done to deserve this privilege? Well, as Mingyu would say, you were you. 

❤︎ As Mingyu’s passenger princess, it does mean that he’s going to be on call 24/7 for you. Whenever you need a ride, just text him or call him to let him know. We all know Mingyu is practically a night owl so don’t worry about bothering him at 2am in the morning if you need a ride. He loves to drink alcohol, but he won’t if he knows he might need to pick you up. He would rather come get you himself than have you take a taxi or public transportation. He knows you’re perfectly capable of taking care of yourself. But you’re his significant other. He’s going to pamper you like you’re nobility.  ​​❤︎ This man is whipped for you. If he could follow behind you in his car while staring at you with literal hearts coming out of his eyes, he would do it 100%. But alas, he cannot. So, he does the next best thing - he decorates his car with things that remind him of you. 

❤︎ Yea, let’s just say Mingyu might have gone overboard when decorating… there’s an air freshener in the corner of the passenger side dashboard with the scent that you like. Next to it, there’s this little plushie of a golden retriever you bought for him years ago when you first started dating. And there’s even a cute little cup holder in your favourite colour attached to the air conditioner for you to place your drinks/ water bottle. 

❤︎ That’s not it either. He hangs a little locket that has your picture on it on the rearview mirror. It’s open all the time so when he looks that way, he can always see your adorable face. He also places pictures of you (or pictures of you and him) on the sunvisor. Whenever he pulls it down, he can’t help but smile and giggle when he catches a glimpse of you. 

❤︎ Mingyu is the type of boyfriend who will buy 2 of everything for his car. Leather headrests? There’s 2, with one being attached to each seat. Backrests or seat cushions? Again, there’s 2. Branded sunglasses? 2 in the glove compartment. One for you. One for him. You’re in a relationship, of course he wants you both to match! No, it’s definitely not because he finds it very hot and attractive when you hop into his car, put on your dark sunglasses that match his, and smirk his way. Don’t keep smirking at him though, your smirk might just turn into a look of confusion when he short circuits and can’t remember where he’s supposed to go next.

❤︎ Mingyu is an acts of service kind of guy. He could be listening to you blabber about every thing and everything under the sun, and he will still manage to reach over to pull down your sunshade for you, or adjust the temperature of the car, all without you having to ask. He’s always one step ahead of you as well. If he’s picking you up from somewhere, he’ll ask you if you need anything. For example, if you’re going on a date, do you need a sweater (obviously his oversized sweater)? If you do, he’s grabbing it along the way and passing it to you in the car. Or, he’ll make a detour to pick you up some snacks/ drinks if you’re hungry. 

❤︎ His car itself? It oddly suits him and yet, it doesn’t. Let me explain. You thought his car would be big. Like one of those big SUV type porches or a Mercedes G Wagon. But, the first time Mingyu came to pick you up. He pulled up in an all black sports car. That left you kind of confused. You see. As hot and sleek as an all black sports car is, which suits Mingyu’s attractive looks and superstar status, the interior is also kind of small for someone so tall and bulky. You comically imagined yourself having to either push Mingyu into the car to get all those muscles in, or having to pull him out of the car when he needs to get up. 

❤︎ Don’t worry though, the interior has been adjusted to suit him (and you). You have more than enough space to stretch your legs, and your seat is perfectly adjustable. For Mingyu, he has just enough space to spread out, but the interior is small enough so he can be pretty close to you. Was that the reason why he bought the car? Maybe… he’ll never tell. 

❤︎ Honestly, he bought it for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a sexy looking car. Make no mistake, he bought the car for its looks and not its speed. Sure, he has a racing circuit license but he would never, ever speed in this car. Not with you inside. He would never play with your safety like that. He’s a very careful driver, especially with you by his side. 

❤︎ He just likes pulling up next to you on the curb you were waiting at, rolling down the window, raising his brow to look at you through the top of his sunglasses, and saying “hey baby ~” in a deep voice. He’s a romantic at heart. He’s seen this exact scene happen in tv shows and movies. He knows you find it attractive so why not recreate it with you? His tough, sexy facade drops in an instant though once you hop in the car. Then, he’s cooing or sulking at you adorably. Like “Baby :(( i missed you” or “How’s my pretty baby doing today?”

❤︎ Second, Mingyu thought you would enjoy watching your hot, sexy boyfriend fix the car with grease and sweat all over him. He wants to please you. He’s a giver (in many, many ways…). He likes to check the oil, tire pressure, and the engine when you’re next to him. You’re sitting there, all pretty, with your eyes intensely trained on him? You can bet that Mingyu is flexing his muscles and that he’s rolled up his sleeves just for you. He might bat his lashes at you and ask you to hand him a towel for his sweat. He loves when you hop off your seat and dab the sweat off from his form (or is it that he just loves your hands all over him?). Mingyu is also definitely the kind who will change the spare tire in front of you. He’ll pull the jack out of the car boot and unscrew everything himself. 

❤︎ That being said. As we all know, despite how hot and sexy Mingyu is, he’s also a cutie. A clumsy golden retriever puppy. His plan to look hot while checking the car/ changing the tire backfires sometimes. For one, he forgot that he lives somewhere where there is winter. And now he’s sniffling and shivering and cold from having to make sure the pipes in his car aren’t frozen. Two, he’s clumsy and the spare tire for some reason keeps rolling away from him. Still, it’s not all bad. When these things happen, he’ll look at you with those big puppy eyes and pout. And then you’re coming over to give him cuddles for warmth or comfort in an instant. 

❤︎ Okay, moving on. The last reason why Mingyu bought the car in the first place, is that he loves the close proximity between your bodies when you’re inside the car. You’re both separated by the gear shift in between but you’re close enough to each other. Mingyu likes physical touch. A lot. He’ll drive with one hand while placing his other hand on your thigh. He likes to squeeze your thigh for fun, which makes you (1) slap his hand away gently, (2) smirk at him, (3) roll your eyes at him. Sometimes, he might even be a tease and caress your knee/ thigh gently. Or, it might be an unconscious thing for him because he just likes having that feeling of you under his fingertips. He can’t always look at you with his eyes on the road, so he finds it comforting and reassuring to be touching you in some way. 

❤︎ Mingyu is handsy, but he also loves being touched if that makes sense. When he drives, he spreads out his legs, and slumps comfortably against the seat. He likes the close proximity to your seat because it means your arm can also rest comfortably across his lap. You’ll probably squeeze his thigh or his arm when he is driving as well to reassure him that yes, you’re still there (although it’s not like you could have gone anywhere when you’re on the road). You might lean over and give him a pack on the cheek or arm every now and then too, though that does usually leave him whining and sulking with his bottom lip jutting out adorably because he can’t have a peck on the lips like he wanted. 

❤︎ Mingyu is just too cute for his own good. Watching his side profile, and how he purses his lips in a pout in concentration. It makes you want to coo at him. You’ll definitely giggle a lot when you see him and boop your head lightly against his arm. In turn, Mingyu will raise his eyebrows, amused and endeared. Your little giggles make him smile all the time. He doesn’t need to be looking at you to know that your eyes are curved upwards and that you’re happy. A smile spreads across his face and when you see that it becomes a never ending cycle of you both falling for each other all over again. 

❤︎ Well, that’s the positive, fluffy part about being Mingyu’s passenger princess. Let’s move back to the more sexy parts shall we? Like I said, the car is small. You’re close to each other. Sometimes, when you lean towards each other, your shoulders almost touch. There’s this strange magnetism between you when that happens. It’s as if you want to lean into Mingyu, and yet, there’s this force that stops you from doing so. The close proximity, where you can almost feel Mingyu’s body on yours, leaves you with this feathery, teasing, alluring feeling. It breeds an unexplainable attraction and sensual energy between you two. It’s funny because in times like these, it doesn’t cross your mind to hold his hand/ touch his thigh. And the same could be said for Mingyu. Instead, you let that energy build, and build, and build, until you’re left craving each other’s touch. 

❤︎ The next thing you know, Mingyu can’t wait any longer, and he’s pulled the car to the side of the road. Mingyu’s smashing his lips on yours, running his tongue over your lips. You’re grasping at each other, so tightly, tugging at each other’s clothed bodies desperately. Eventually, you both pull away, gasping for breath and looking at each other through half-lidded eyes, kind of dazed at the intensity of your kiss. Looking at Mingyu’s disheveled appearance, you can’t help but burst out laughing. You both just kissed like your lives depended on it, and at the side of the road no less. It’s kind of funny to you, just how much you both love and crave each other’s touch. Watching you laugh, Mingyu’s gaze softens. You have an inexplicable ability to make his insides melt and feel like mush. He’s just so enamoured by everything about you.

❤︎ At the end of the day, you might be Kim Mingyu’s passenger princess, but Kim Mingyu? Him in his entirety? He belongs to you.

Thinking about Choi Seungcheol and how both of you have ridiculously high sex drives and can't keep your hands off of each other especially at the beginning stages of your relationship.

How both of you would be the type to jump each other as soon as they come home, and even more so after the times where either of you are traveling and couldn't see each other for extended periods of time.

How you'd always find ways and excuses to push the limits and do it anywhere anytime. Birthdays? You're at it as soon as the clock hits midnight. Anniversaries? So many weekend getaways where you two hardly leave the bed. New hairstyle? Of course you pounce on him to show him how good he looks. Bad day? He will literally take the day off to worship you in every way imaginable.

How you two gain sort of a reputation amongst the members. Whenever you get invited along for group trips, everyone has to play a game to pick rooms and losers will always take the room next to yours where they're submitted to all sorts of noises throughout the night.

How the members ask him out of pure curiosity how often he actually gets lucky and are in jaw-dropping shock at his smug response of “every day if possible. sometimes more than once.”

How even after years of being together, there's always something new to try because he loves spoiling you with spicy gifts and lingerie whenever he can.

How one year when Father's Day comes around, you finally ask the question if he wants to be a real daddy. It doesn't take long before he's all over you again, determined to put a baby in you.

How emotional he gets when you tell him that the tests came out positive, with a newfound determination to dote on you more than he has in his entire life for the next 9 months.

How giddy he'd be going shopping for all things baby related. He will stop at nothing to ensure his kid gets the best things in life, doing hours of research with you on what products are safest and most highly rated for new parents.

How absolutely SPOILED ROTTEN his kid would be by his 12 godfathers. Emergency childcare wouldn't even be an issue in your household with a dozen competitive men all trying to win uncle of the year.

How despite all the anxiety and doubt that comes with being a first time parent, he knows it will all be ok because he has you by his side.

i think about these lines often

remembering the time when minghao was reading a book in "Seventeen in the Soop Season 1" and Hoshi came in to ask what was he reading; read out some lines to him. Minghao said that since the book is written in Chinese it'd be so difficult to translate in right words and essence. But Hoshi kept urging him until minghao read these beautiful lines that got engraved in my mind forever.
