Drawing diverse body types is important, but i hate seeing how quick it devolves into “let’s harass and make fun of young artists on here so they “stop sucking” at art cause they admitted they arnt good at drawing fat people and mostly draw skinny characters”.
Like when I was a teenager I mostly drew fat monstery things and was still pretty shit at making things look emasculated or bony, as much as I wanted to. Sometimes it really is about skill and familiarity, and as older artists it’s better to help by being an example or giving art tips rather then being hostile.
