The way Jiwoo has ZERO trauma response from both neglect and torture absolutely baffles me! Like?? Yeah it's a webtoon, but that's not exactly hard to write into the story! Even a single panel could address his trauma!!

Reading eleceed now is like reading about an overpowered Wattpad mc now WITH HOW BORING JIWOO'S CHARACTER IS.

Things that I think Might Give Nuance to Eleceed aka I complain

how the fuck has Jiwoo not shown more attachment issues with other characters, like I know he does has at one point with Kayden but it's so infrequent that you forget this kid has basically been neglected his entire life

Can I get a chapter on just his eating habits? Like we don't know much about him other than that he's an overpowered bean. Like can he cook or does he even do it? Does he just live off of takeout and shin ramyun for the majority of his life?? I WANT ANSWERS!!

Iseul can talk to animals, cool but kayden is a human who basically transfigured into a cat... maybe there is more to those awakened animals... OR FUCKING ARTHUR?? u know what pisses me off is that they aren't actively developing Amyeong (dark) and Jiwoo's relationship and Amyeong's ties to Jiwoo's mother. Also, PERSONALY, I think Jiwoo and his mother should be more awkward around each other considering her job and I've seen videos that the lack of time spent with a parent can rlly just make them a stranger to a child. Plus Kayden knows more about Jiwoo than his mother anyways let me SEE it.

In the end, I just complain out of a slight love for the series, these are things I just personally want to see out of the webcomic that's all. Also, I might have more, I kinda stopped reading it in order after ch 200 something.

The lost hero is named after Jason but piper is literally the one the action is revolved around, she is the one ppl were supposed to be suspicious about, she literally has the power to make you do what you don't want to, her intro to the demigod world was with some gross guy-monster who threw her off a bridge and she's the one who enters camp and is rejected by her family, and she's the one with the big choice to betray or not, she's the only one who really had anything on the line lol, and it's just a huge secret for half the book. Then in boo she's the one to make the plan really work????? Jason helped sure but he and Leo couldn't do anything without piper???? Ok. So real, writing as a hobby can be so very isolating, so to be able to see the ripple effect your writing has on others? Perhaps the most fulfilling thing I can think of

It really gives you the chance to continue pursuing your hobby/passion if you didn't choose writing or literature as your primary career

Words have power, and everything you read shapes you; so to think that your writing is impacting how another person thinks and feels? Absolutely phenomenal. The power of art is astounding.

the way I have heard so many talented fanfic writers say they started writing because they read someone else's fanfics that are so good they inspired them into becoming writers too? just proved my point that your writing is never 'in vain', even if you dislike it and think it could've been better, it's still good enough for someone out there that it becomes their source of inspiration and perhaps happiness. you'll never know.

but don't ever, ever belittle your own works. just because you don't like them, doesn't mean other people dislike them too. again, you'll never know. there could be someone out there who reread your works every day because those fics you wrote helped them escape reality for a while, they could be reading your works as a way to help get them through a hard time in their life. you'll never know.

several best selling authors started as fanfic writers, and the majority of fanfic writers started writing because they were inspired by someone's fanfics. you do the math.

your "silly fics" have permanent impact on this world, even if you think they're not good (they actually are good, I promise you, don't let your mind lie to you).

I mean ***I*** personally started writing my first fanfic about 7 years ago, and have been writing ever since, because I was inspired by my favorite fanfic writers. I still remember all the lines I like from those fics I read 7-8 years ago, I still think about those fics I read from 7-8 years ago and still remember the stories very well in my heart. I started writing because of them.

this blog would never have been created at all, if it weren't because of those fanfic writers whose works I read 7-8 years ago.

Been thinking about eleceed as usual, and you know what I noticed?

Kayden was dad-coded even before he met Jiwoo. Allow me to elaborate:

1. His relationship with Amyeong:

The most obvious one, of course. The Kayden we knew before Jiwoo was a 'lone wolf'; he wasn't someone who cared for company. Yet, this same guy seems to have an extended relationship with Amyeong. Despite not caring to have an apprentice, Kayden teaches Amyeong to use his power efficiently and advises him. The flashbacks all show him speaking easily with Amyeong and given the fact Amyeong considered himself Kayden's apprentice, it's easy to see that their relationship was clearly over a long/significant period of time

What I'm trying to say is, Kayden, despite his insistence to work alone, was pretty fond of Amyeong, taught him to make the best of himself and spent considerable time with him.

2) His familiarity with Roist

Okay yes, I know, he rejected Roist as his apprentice too BUT BUT, that does not mean they did not have a degree of familiarity between them.

We've seen Kayden with people who he regards as a threat to Jiwoo; they don't exactly see the next sunrise. YET, when Roist shows up in the WAA, he's irritated yes, but not antagonistic. The way Kayden speaks to Roist, allows him to meet Jiwoo is more like indulgence over anything.

His words too are gentle, not cocky, just stating it as it is. What do I mean? He's talking to Roist like he'd talk to a kid! Chastising, but not mean!

And then ofc we know his relationship with Jiwoo so I'm not gonna elaborate on that

It's just interesting that Kayden is actually borderline gentle and almost helpful with every kid he meets. Teaching them, indulging them and non threatening.

It seems to me that he's always had a soft spot for lonely kids :') such a dad even before he met Jiwoo
