Best opening shot of any Narcos episode so far? Hell, yes. 

The blue shirt is new, and we only see it under his leather jacket so we don’t get a really good look at it, but the color and texture look nice, so I’m guessing he looks great in it. 

We also see Javi in this bright blue shirt we’ve seen before, but is now paired with a Costco jacket. What a snoozefest. Why does Javi even still own any other jacket but the black leather? 

You know my feelings about Javi in khaki: it’s fine, but not great. But those jeans and aviators…

This shot inspired me to consider Javi in classic GUESS ad from the 90’s. They ushered in a whole new aesthetic from the 80’s, and my college roommates and I plastered our walls with them. I had a subscription to W magazine for about 20 years, since I was a teenager, and that big 11x17 format was wonderful for pulling advertisements. 

This episode was pretty boring as far as clothing goes. I’m hoping episode 6 provides something new.
