Kanima Thoughts
After watching the sneak peek of next week's episode, I think we can surmise that Jackson is NOT the kanima. Jackson indicates that Derek paralyzed him "from the neck down", most likely with a sample of the kanima's venom. If the venom can paralyze him, it's probably not his own venom. It wouldn't work on him if it was his own, right? Also, yesterday I read a tweet from Jeff Davis in which he indicated that there is a reason the kanima completely ignored the unconscious and vulnerable Erica, and that it is a clue. Initially I just proclaimed in frustration, "We know almost nothing about Erica! This does not help!" But then the bf and I put our heads together and seem to have discovered that all the kanima's victims seem to have been male. Do please correct me if I'm wrong. Also they all seem to be bullies and/or killers. We have Isaac's dad (abusive dad), hunter guy (presumably has killed or assisted in the killing of werewolves, possibly even outside the code) and now former BHHS lacrosse player turned mechanic (who was more than happy to take Stiles for every cent he was worth, and thus seems to fit the pattern as well). It coming after Derek doesn't surprise me because as much as I love Derek, he's been a major bully this season, even if his intentions are good. Breaking Isaac's arm was pretty fucked up. Holes in the theory: the kanima seemed to come after Allison and Scott in Isaac's house. Neither of them is a bully and Allison definitely isn't male. But if that's correct and the kanima is only killing males, what does that indicate? It's a female character? Maybe one who's been abused, mistreated or hurt by males? Maybe the [imho] creepy school counselor? Or maybe Danny? Maybe he hasn't always been someone everybody likes, perhaps was bullied by guys when he was younger? Theories, anyone? [CAPshouting "YOUR STOOPID!!!1!" does not count as a theory.]
