A Writeblr Introduction

A Writeblr Introduction

a writeblr introduction

hello writeblr! i’m zie, a long-time writer and perhaps poet but that’s sort of stretch who just decided to publish my stories and other collection of words here. i had a tumblr account way back in 2013 but i wanted to start anew, so here i am.

about me:

she/her, 17, aro-ace, filipino, infj(p), type 4, libra but pisces at heart, ravenclaw

overly enthusiastic for art, literature, books, music that punctures your inner psyche, psychology, philosophy, and you guessed it, theatre!

the superior time are afternoons and midnights, it’s when my imagination goes crazy and my aesthetics shift and morph

guilty pleasure is watching barbie movies and writing long-ass essays that i’m sure my professors are tired of reading, but oh well

i don’t know how to make cool edits like all the other splendid authors here on tumblr so heavens PLEASE, i hope my words will suffice

about my writing:

i love writing themes about mental health, fantasy, magical beings, and anything that borders on idealism, much like one of my favorite authors

pantsing or outlining a storyline really just depends on my mood. characters always go first before the plot, because i usually deem them as real people and the book revolves around them. they deserve just as much.

i am a sucker for symbolisms, metaphors, and paradoxes, it’s not that i overuse them, it just gives you a feel of what my oc’s are feeling.

i love creating dialogues, you’ll see a lot of ‘em. don’t get sick of ‘em, i beg of you.

current wips (all of which are subject to change):

sleeping at last is a mental-health centralized and mystery fiction set in the modern times of a fictional country/city. it explores the death of a recurring female character and how her friends try to search for the events leading up to it, making themselves subjects to ill-starred events all the while being under the same roof of adwell house, a mental wellness sanatorium for orphans such as them.

of curse and glory is a fantasy-enriched story set in an alternate universe unbeknownst to humankind that we know of. it narrates the story of four kingdoms which do not know their history. together, the heirs of the kingdoms are relayed an ancient message from the Oldens which states that they are part of a provocation to unyield the truth about their kingdoms and save everyone else in the process.

in our orbit is a fictional romance story set in new york city, manhattan where two men meet each other in chaotic circumstances inside an art museum. when push comes to shove, they must decide whether or not love is worth keeping in the sacrifice of their dreams.

poems and essays is pretty much self-explanatory. this will be a series of thoughts constellated into words that i’ll share with the world. from my heart to yours.

please reblog if you’re also a writeblr because i would love to interact, be mutuals, and follow all of you! writeblrs supporting writeblrs, everyone!

contents coming very very soon in a poeticparchment near you!

They're Not Mean To Others But They Dont Get To Be Photographed By Thomas

Sal q here! is the group like mean towards other people in the house? Because i remebmer reading how there are 11 of them in the house

DONT GO ANON ON ME PEOPLE, I WOULD LOVE TO BEFRIEND YALL đŸ„șđŸ„ș

but anyways!!

NO, they are not mean!! I did not put those six together to be soooo hateful and condescending to other patients. They’re just really into their own close-knit group since they have come a long way from childhood to now.

And yes!! Good eyes!! there are eleven of them because Adwell takes in 12 patients per four years (including Addie before she passed away).

SLEEPING AT LAST

Prologue

As written by: Zie Madayag

Adwell House’s history traces back to the 1910’s of a group of esteemed and dignified young and adult women. These women were byproducts of loveless marriages, incestual relationships, rape, unwanted pregnancies, and sexual affairs. They were the lucky ones who have been taken into service by women much like them—except, far more free from the barbarism of men.

Ms. Eleanor Adwell, the founder of Adwell House was born of time and space, privilege, and of sound mind. Being the heiress to her father’s ill-headed business and designated to be married in two months from 5th of May 1912, she rather decided to be stripped off her title and start from the ground under. This decision, without a shadow of a doubt, was supported by her mother who funded her but is now, unfortunately, dead. The House did not start off as a sanatorium for it was primarily utilized as a haven to protect the women who had immense courage to flee abusive households. Over time, she had noticed an increase of depletion in the mental states of her fellow sisters therefore deciding to form a deeper, more-enriched bond.

She began to use the philosopher Socrates’ midwife method. The conversation would always revolve around a sister as Ms. Adwell’s only duty is to offer a lending ear. Hereafter, she would give questions related to the conflict which made her fellow sisters contemplate and arrive at a definitive answer they thought for by themself. This method resembles a midwife, assisting only the pregnancy without submitting to the commitment of pushing the infant. When she had found it quite effective, she incorporated the justification for Adwell as a mental wellness sanatorium.

The ladies of Adwell House formed a long line of hierarchy such as the House Mother, seconded by the House Sisters since blood lineage was almost impossible because men were forbidden to go inside, much more to kindle with women who were fertile. But over 66 years after Ms. Adwell had rested by her grave, modern women who studied keenly about intersectional feminism devised a process of taking in men who were victims of the destructive society. They had found out that a huge percentage of men died by suicide with no source of medical assistance by a licensed therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist. By the year of 1979, they forewent with transforming Adwell House into a cohabitational institution, free of charge by those who were abandoned. Helpers, in addition, still remained all-women inhabited to give appraise to the weaved maternal instinct they naturally possessed.

One condition that had followed on throughout the end of eras was its discreet admission. To be a patient living in the house can only happen if a social worker has requested for your admission, a concerned parent has contacted for child support given that governmental organizations can no longer take them in, or you might have stumbled upon a cobbled road that leads to a house that seemingly time-traveled beyond centuries. Either way, Adwell House became the testament of wellness, building up branches all across the globe. Its main building is in the country of Grey Meridian, city of Aza.

As of this year 2020, Adwell House keeps its low profile with high-end facilities. The House offers a maximum of 12 patients per 4 years with the exclusion of returning patients and newcomers. For as much as it is needed, respective therapists of particular patients attend to them in separate private rooms. Each floor of each branching House is definitive for different utilities. More of which will be found out sooner than we think.

Adwell House’s vision is to aid those who live below help, establish a willing and safe community to voice out distress and anything considered harmful. They aim to create an atmosphere universally inclined with and for the people for as long as the House shall be lived. Its mission is to hold accountability with their patients as a medical service inside the sanatorium and provide the love and care differently each day depending on necessity. The internal and external stakeholders are guaranteed to uphold confidentiality, transparency, and communication.

As Ms. Eleanor Adwell once said, “The people are going, but where? Shall they leave quickly, hastily without a taste of remedy?“
