seasons (noun, plural)

The snow stretched out as far as the eye could see - glistening white blanketing the trees, covering the ground, untouched by marks or tracks other than the occasional dent made by a fallen branch or a stray creature.

It was quiet. The only noise was the sound of the quad bike we had hired, its motor chugging along and piercing the pure silence around us.

And, of course, you - at first, your worried mumbling in my ear, having never biked out on the snow before, which then gave way to fits of glee as we sped through the whitened landscape. An uproarious laugh here and there, a plea to slow down, Cole, for fuck’s sake, but as the minutes flew by, gradually nothing - just your chin on my shoulder, your arms wrapped around my waist.
