ANNNNND lemme add one li'l reminder while I'm here. 

Thing is, darlings, Walt Disney was always one for improvement. With every film or short he and his studio made, the goal was to see how they can outdo themselves. Disney took many risks; Snow White, the first American animated feature-film, was called "Disney's Folly" while it was in production. The idea of a animated film was considered ludicrous. And yet, it started a revelation in animation.

Don't want to stand too long on a soap box, but all I mean is this: Loving classic Disney is grand. We all love it. But please don't go dissing the newer Disney just because it is not what you grew up with as a kiddo. Not sayin' all of you do that, but still. Disney was all about trying new things. Even though some of those new things aren't perfect, or even good, it's what makes Disney... well, Disney. 

In short, there is nothin' wrong with either of these two wonderful gifs above. I'm sure favor over one or the other wasn't the intent, but some may have seen it that way.

We've spoken of this before, but I still agree with all mah li'l heart. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE romances. I'm a total sucker for them. And I understand that said animated films that deal with romance are usually based on fairytales that involved romance.

HOWEVER...

It certainly would be nice to see an animated female protagonist who is a HUMAN BEING first, and a female second. This is partially why I'm so wary of seeing Brave. Pixar tends to have very charming and unique characters, but when we get our first female protagonist from them, what is she? A rebellious princess who is trying to prove she can kick ass even though she's a girl. Yeah... I haven't heard that one before. Okay, I haven't seen Brave yet, so I can't properly judge, but that's how the trailers are portraying Merida, that is how they are trying to market her.

My point being is... having girly parts doesn't mean you have to fall in love or try to defy love. I know romance is something many young ladies think about, but it's not ALL we think about. Young ladies can have journeys that don't involve cliche romance or forced feminism, so let's try to make some more animated films about that, shall we?

Can there be ONE animated family film from our country’s entertainment industry in which the female primary main protagonist has NOTHING to do with romance, being a love interest, marriage, proving herself to be worthy of doing something for the sake of showing women can do shit too, be the butt...

Saw Madagascar 3 a while ago and LOVED it. <333

Just had to do a li'l somethin' somethin' for my favorite character of the film, Stefano. XD My gosh, his adorableness knew no bounds. THOSE BIG PUPPY EYES. ;A;
