I just wanted everyone to know I’m okay. I know people start thinking the worst when writers want to start over because tumblr has become such a nasty place but I assure you nothing like that has persuaded me to move. I simply just want to reintroduce myself and rebrand i guess.

I think the main reason why I decided to change blogs is because the other one had no identity. Sure, I posted fics(every week) but people started treating me like I was a robot, like a computer that dished out stories.

I would post a story and though there were positive comments, there were also a lot of “i need more” or “will there be another part?” and I was just like...do my followers even know me? Can’t they see that I love open endings?

Then the racism came and I realized a lot of my followers didn’t know I was black. Everything was fine until I posted a black reader story, then all of a sudden my heaux talez weren’t good enough. It was totally fine if were a woman of another race using terms created by the black culture but the minute the oc became a black woman there were problems.

Here I want it to be very clear that I am a black and indigenous woman. Though I won’t specifically state it in most of my stories, all of my reader inserts are POC. Descriptions will be vague so no one feels excluded but understand that this is a safe space for POC, especially black readers and I just want my people to know that there are content creators on here that write stories for our race.

Another thing, I’m very aware that I am almost 30. But so are BTS and most of your other favs lol. I don’t know why y’all are so afraid of aging but if you take care of yourself, you don’t have anything to worry about. Trust me. I look good(according to others lol), I feel good, and I’m still as active as I was in middle and high school. But I appreciate everything life has taught me and I’m not ashamed of my age or what I’m doing. 

To sum everything up, I just want a space that represents me and who I am. I don’t want to celebrate my blogs anniversary receiving messages like “what’s up with this black reader stuff?” That upset me. I was ready to fight lol. Not because of the racist insult(i’m from the south, I’m used to that) but like why wouldn’t I? I just thought all of my readers would be proud of me for embracing who I am and being a voice for people who look like me.

Then I realized...most of my following didn’t even know me. They were only around for the stories. So that’s why I have multiple blogs. This one is my main account created to interact, share things with my mutuals, reblog content I like, talk about my life. No stories will be post on here. Then there’s @sugakookitty. If you just want to read my work, you can just follow that account. Then I have my multi account @multiheaux-house . I’ll be posting non bts content(writing, reblogs, etc) on that account. Lastly, my fic recs will be at @sugakookitty-reads . There you will find everything I like to read and reviews. It’ll take a while to get everything set up and moved over but I’m excited to rebuild. It’s so refreshing here.
