Just found out something absolutely incredible.

The Ancient Greeks KNEW how to treat bipolar disorder!

Yup, that’s right. In the second century C.E, the Greek physician Galen treated people suffering from what we now call bipolar mania by having them bathe and drink from the water of an alkaline spring.

This spring most likely contained lithium, which is today used as a mood stabiliser… TO TREAT BIPOLAR DISORDER!

This means that this treatment… actually worked! The bipolar people in Ancient Greece who drank the water from the alkaline spring were actually being treated effectively.

What in the actual fuck. That is so wild. How did they even figure that out?

And that’s why I have tattooed on my arm forever!

There are not nearly enough words in the English lexicon (or any language for that matter) to express the immense charm and magnificence of that Fallen Angel painting. I think about it so often and every little detail is simply mesmerising. I want it on my wall in big. I want to see it every day for the rest of my existence because it is too beautiful not to, and it would honestly make each day ×9999999999 better.
